With this week’s premiere of Netflix’s ‘Reality Check: America’s Next Top Model’, it seemed like a good time to take a look into the history of the Smize Queen herself: Tyra Banks. You know her as the creator and host of America’s Next Top Model. You know her as a Victoria’s Secret Model. You know her as the woman who yelled, “WE WERE ROOTING FOR YOU. WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU!”But do you know Tyra Banks as the boss of several (failed) businesses? A Twilight-style Young Adult novel/movie/product empire called ‘Modelland’ that was cancelled after one book. A beauty line called ‘Tyra Beauty’ that was actually an MLM and folded in less than two years. A theme park based on… ‘models’ that she said was too hard to describe but was essentially just a place to get $1500 glamour shots (also no longer in business). The Sentinelese people are one of the last remaining isolated Indigenous tribes on earth, continuing to live today as they have for thousands of years. Since 1956 they have been protected by laws that prohibit anyone approaching their home on North Sentinel Island. But the laws are also in place to protect any outsiders who try to go there, as the Sentinelese tribe have pretty much tried to to kill anyone who goes near them. Despite this, in 2018, a 26-year-old evangelical Christian missionary named John Allen Chau decided that the Sentinelese people, who had been living peacefully on North Sentinel Island for thousands of years, were actually part of Satan’s Last Stronghold on earth, because they had not yet accepted Jesus into their hearts by being converted to Christianity. John Allen Chau decided to change that. John Allen Chau is now dead. King Louis let Felix spend 6 months ‘practicing’ on inmates from the city’s prison, until he had perfected the procedure (or at least managed to perform it once without killing the guy).
