It Takes Boobs Podcast

What is It Takes Boobs all about?

So many of us have been shaped to believe it “takes balls” to show courage and get big things done. But we’re tired of this old, sexist trope, because we know that it’s regularly women who are pulling on the threads of progress and mustering up the courage to push forward.

It Takes Boobs is a new Women’s Agenda special podcast series supported by Stella Insurance that challenges the long-held stereotype of it "taking balls" to be courageous. It shines a light on stories of female trailblazers who embody courage, grit and resilience from all walks of life.

It Takes Boobs is part of a broader campaign by Stella Insurance that looks to expand our vernacular around bravery, looking at how women exemplify courage in their lives and careers. Check out more on the campaign here.

This podcast series is produced by Agenda Media, publisher of Women’s Agenda.

  • 1. Tenacity: With former Matilda Sarah Walsh

    29:04||Season 1, Ep. 1
    It’s time we challenged the typical sexist trope of it “taking balls” to get big things done. Because we know that so often, it’s women at the forefront of the brave push for progress. But far too often, their stories go untold. That’s where this new Women’s Agenda podcast series, It Takes Boobs, supported by Stella Insurance, comes in. In our first episode, we speak to former Matildas star, Sarah Walsh, is the Head of Women’s Football, Women’s World Cup Legacy, and Inclusion at Football Australia. With years of experience in professional football both on and off the field, Sarah is no stranger to what it takes on being a female athlete in a notoriously male-dominated sport. We know gender equality in sport is vital, so why aren't we there yet? In this episode of It Takes Boobs, Tarla Lambert sits down with Sarah to reflect on some of the key moments in her life that required the tenacity and perseverance to power through, and the pair speak more broadly to the importance of equal representation and female leadership in women’s sport.Learn more about Stella Insurance's It Takes Boobs campaign, here.
