Starting out in her career as a lawyer, Gash reflects on how she transitioned to professional ultrarunning. At just 25-years-old, she became the first woman and the youngest person at the time to complete, in one calendar year, the Four Deserts Grand Slam, which is four 250 kilometre desert ultramarathons, held in four deserts around the world.
