It Stakes Two

Well everyone - along with the tragic news of Michelle Trachtenberg's passing, we have a sad one for you this week. In season 5, episode 16 - The Body, we see the gang struggling to deal with the immediate aftermath of Joyce's sudden death. From Buffy's total shock, to Xander's anger, to Anya's confusion, despite this being one of the hardest episodes, it is definitely beautifully done. 

Well what can we say about this episode...In season 5, episode 15 - I Was Made to Love You, we take a pause in the whole Glory trying to find the key storyline to meet a guy named Warren who has created himself a robot girlfriend. She starts getting dangerous on her quest for true love and Buffy has to step in. Throw in Spike ordering a robot of his own and a horrible final scene and it's safe to say that this is not our favourite episode. But we hope you still enjoy listening to our take on things!

Drusilla drops by to bring Spike back into the fam but things really backfire when he changes the game on her and threatens to kill her to prove his love to Buffy. Hey listeners! We've got a good one this time (we mean episode - not sound quality)! First Nicole tells us about her special birthday celebration. Then we hop into season 5, episode 13 - Blood Ties. This is an episode of discovery from start to finish. Buffy's having a small get together to celebrate her 20th birthday (just like Nicole!) but for some reason she keeps trying to talk about secret stuff with Dawn hanging around. When Dawn throws an inevitable temper tantrum and sneaks out of the house, Spike takes her on an adventure where she finds out that...she's the key! As you might expect, chaos ensues.

Xander is caught in the middle of a spat between his girlfriend and his best friend. When he leaves Anya and Willow to sort out their issues at the Magic Box they end up bringing Anya's ex, a troll named Olaf, into the world. Destruction ensues and Willow and Anya have to try to fix their mistake!

Hey listeners! We're back this week with a tangent-filled episode for you. We're recapping season 5, episode 10 - Into the Woods. In this episode things finally come to a head with Buffy and Riley's relationship. When she catches him getting his blood sucked, Buffy is rightfully pretty angry. Riley tries to explain himself but when Buffy isn't listening he decides to head to Belize with the military (umm what?). Little did we know, Xander is Riley's biggest fan and he persuades Buffy that Riley is the one. Will she be able to stop him from leaving Sunnydale forever?

Hey everyone! This week, special guest Ed from 90 Day Fiancé joins the pod...oops, nope, that's just Nicole. This week we're covering episode 9 of season 5 - Listening to Fear. In this episode the gang is dealing with a weird space cockroach that is slithering around killing patients from the psych ward. With Buffy busy dealing with Joyce's medical problems, they try not to bother her, but since Joyce's tumor is messing with her brain the space demon decides to go after her too! 

Hey listeners! After recapping our pretty uneventful weeks we jump right into season 5, episode 8 - Shadow. We've gotta call it, this one is just depressing. Joyce's medical issues are getting serious and Buffy has to deal with the fact that magic and her Slayer powers might not be enough to help this time around. And as if that's not stressful enough, Glory has to bring the Sunnydale Zoo back in to the mix when she creates a snake monster to track down the key. Talk about overwhelming! Good thing Riley's there to support our girl through her tough times...
