IE056 Erfan Daliri: Poetic Justice: Awakening to a 'Newkind' of Revolution & Activism
Our guest for this week is Erfan Daliri, a social change animator, a writer, educator, youth worker, a spoken word artist, and the founding director of Newkind.
Along with an educational background in Communication for Social Change, throughout his career, Erfan has acquired 15 years of experience in the fields of community development, including youth engagement, migrant settlement, mental health research, indigenous community work, human rights, and environmental advocacy. He has worked as a consultant and advisor to a great number of organizations and his impressive list of clients includes Amnesty International, Beyond Blue, Malaruch Aboriginal Corporation, Risdon Prison and the Townsville Intercultural Centre.
In 2016, he founded Newkind, an annual conference which gathers people from different fields who are ready to step up, find their purpose, and make a positive impact on the world. By using a series of discussion panels, workshops, and lectures from renowned experts, entrepreneurs, and social justice advocates, the Newkind festival is made to inspire and empower people to join the movement and awake the change makers within. The latest Newkind Festival will be held in Tasmania, from the 19th until the 24th of February, 2019.
Erfan’s goal is to provide individuals and organizations with the necessary skills and knowledge and empower them to become agents of change in their communities. At its core, his mission and message is one of social change and challenging the status quo.

Erfan’s Story of Inspired Evolution
“From a very young age, community development and youth engagement and indigenous community work was a part of my life.” - Erfan Daliri
Erfan was born in India, and both of his parents are from Iran. When he was little, they applied and received the refugee recognition from the UN and eventually moved to Australia. It’s pretty safe to say that the good Erfan is doing today has roots in the work of his parents. He learned to be an agent of change from a very young age, watching his parents actualize themselves in the fields of education and helping refugees settle into Australia. Continuously being exposed to different types of challenges, taught him to accept them as opportunities for personal growth and focus on the things being born in the process of overcoming them.
“When you become aware of injustices and when you become aware of things that aren’t working... an initial response will be anger.” - Erfan Daliri
Erfan recalls his earlier days of activism and shares that they were accompanied by frustration and anger. He believes that being angry is a natural response to being faced with injustice and also that it’s a part of the process. The prototype of an angry activist has its purpose in revealing and pointing towards a problem, but the true value lies in shifting over to the next step - becoming solutions-focused.
“What is the solution I’m proposing? How can I actually alleviate this issue?” - Erfan Daliri
The answers to these questions are meant to guide us through on our journey of becoming a true agent of change and empower us to provide solutions for the problems we’re faced with as a whole.
Taking Action as the Starting Point
“I’m very much action focused. I do pray daily and I do meditate daily but it’s about that action. That is the third part of that amazing trilogy.” - Erfan Daliri
One of the key principles Erfan’s been adhering to throughout his life, is being action-oriented. He postulates that taking action is necessary in order to evoke any sort of change whatsoever. Even though praying and meditating play an important role in his daily life, he recognizes that they are only components of the solution, not making any actual and relevant impact if they are not followed by appropriate action. He further elaborates that taking action is connected to praying and meditation through faith. It’s important to maintain the belief and the positive attitude throughout your action-taking in order to truly move in the direction of where you want and need to go.
“You have to act as if your prayers have been answered. You have to act as if there is no doubt in your mind.” - Erfan Daliri
We further explore the bigger picture and how becoming more action-oriented can help our society and not just ourselves. Erfan recognizes that even though many people are aware and empathize with the problems our world is faced with a very small portion of them is actually willing to engage and fight the good fight.
“If you see something that needs to get done, make it your responsibility and address that issue.” - Erfan Daliri
He sees one of the reasons why more people aren’t working on solving challenges like improving the educations system, reducing excessive consumerism, and achieving gender equality is because they do not feel empowered to do so. We often find that we do not have enough time or that we’re lacking skills or simply that we’re not in a position to make a difference. All of these reasons are just showing that being an agent of change is not easy, yet Erfan reveals a potential perspective that could, in fact, empower people to overcome these supposable barriers. By using the analogy of a tired, overworked parent doing everything they can to provide for and take care of their child, he reveals that all of our actions need to come from a place of love. This is the way of assuring we will have enough energy and resilience to face any challenge that comes our way.
“When we actually love our environment and our fellow beings that inhabit this planet with us, then nothing’s overwhelming.” - Erfan Daliri
Being Connected with the World
“We are not separate beings from the oxygen that we breathe and the trees that give us that oxygen and the food that we eat.” - Erfan Daliri
Erfan sees the state of feeling connected with the world as a necessary foundation as well as fuel for dealing with difficult social and environmental issues of today. By separating ourselves from our surroundings and focusing on the individual we’re able to convince ourselves that these problems do not affect us or that we shouldn’t take responsibility for them. However, if we were to focus on the fact that we’re essentially deeply connected to our surroundings, our fellow beings, and the entire universe, we would need to deal with the fact that we’re a part of a whole, and that we have the right, the responsibility, as well as what it takes to work on solving issues greater than ourselves.
“If you want to consider your connectivity to the environment or nature and how important it is I suggest you hold your breath for 5 minutes while you think about it.” - Erfan Daliri
Erfan's Message of Inspired Evolution
Erfan’s mission of empowering people to take action is truly inspiring. His solution-focused approach to dealing with global issues provides us with an example and is just one way of taking on challenges that affect everyone, not just ourselves. But most importantly, in its foundation, his message is one of love and kindness:
“Be kind. If we could just show kindness to one another, it would just change the way we behave.” - Erfan Daliri

572. #572 Betty Guadagno: Overcoming Generational Trauma, Addiction Recovery, and Spiritual Awakening
01:55:57||Ep. 572🎬 IN THIS EPISODEBetty Guadagno details her harrowing yet hopeful journey from the depths of generational trauma to spiritual awakening. Born into a legacy of addiction and abuse, she reached a devastating nadir at age 23 when she discovered her parents had committed a joint suicide to end their own drug-fueled suffering. This tragedy propelled Betty into a further decade of homelessness, prostitution, and severe substance abuse. However, a near-death experience (NDE) in 2019 served as a catalyst for a total life transformation.During this experience, she saw reality as a "simulation," underwent a visceral life review, and felt the weight of the harm she had inflicted on others. Emerging with a sense of divine grace, she experienced a spontaneous physical healing that allowed her to walk away from heroin for good. Now a spiritual guide and retreat leader, Betty emphasizes that true recovery comes from the slow discipline of self-love and the "inner warrior" required to face uncomfortable truths. Her story is a powerful testament to the possibility of reclaiming one’s soul from even the darkest circumstances.🎬 EPISODE CHAPTERS:00:00 The Cycle of Generational Trauma02:43 The Legacy of the OxyContin Epidemic07:36 Finding My Parents: The Cryptic Inheritance14:07 Survival on the Streets: Addiction & Prostitution19:07 The Matrix Glitch: Seeing the Code21:38 Beyond the Cave: The Near-Death Experience28:18 Facing the Truth: A Visceral Life Review41:28 Soul Contracts and The Great Awakening01:10:25 Slow Integration vs. Microwave Spirituality 01:11:10 Pre-Birth Planning and Free Will 01:23:40 Spontaneous Healing and Spiritual Psychosis 01:26:10 The Divine Encounter on a New York Subway 01:28:19 Deep Surrender: Reclaiming Self-Worth 01:43:04 Dissecting the Shadow: The Power of Parts Work 01:58:06 Calling on the Inner Warrior👀 FIND HEATHER ONLINE✦ Website: https://buddhabetty.com ✦ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/buddha.betty/ ✦ Facebook: https://facebook.com/bettyguadagno ✦ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@buddhabetty ✦ Email: mailto:betty.guadagno@gmail.com ✦ Work With Me: https://calendly.com/buddhabetty

571. #571 Heather Ensworth explains the key steps to personal growth and spiritual awakening for lasting success
01:30:25||Ep. 571🎬 IN THIS EPISODEHeather Ensworth explores a rare turning point in human history, arguing that the years 2025–2032 mark a profound window for healing, awakening, and an evolutionary leap in consciousness. Drawing on astrology, ancient civilizations, the Yuga cycle, the Hopi prophecy, Sedna, the Galactic Center, and depth psychology, she reframes this chaotic era not as doom, but as revelation: a time when old systems, trauma patterns, and “power over” paradigms are being exposed so humanity can finally heal them. Ensworth says the transition into Aquarius is less about revolution for its own sake and more about wholeness, truth, collaboration, community, and remembering our deeper connection to Earth, cosmos, and each other. The central message is clear: if we release fear, heal inherited trauma, and stop clinging to the past, we can move into higher consciousness and co-create a new world.🎬 EPISODE CHAPTERS:00:00 2025–2032: The Great Awakening Window05:39 Leo, the Sphinx, and Lost Civilizations10:43 From Sacred Feminine to Duality15:52 Aries and the Rise of Power Over19:56 Why the Real Work Is Healing24:49 Pisces, Fear of Death, and the True Mars Journey32:25 Aquarius, Pluto, and the Return to Balance42:40 Hopi Prophecy and Homo Luminous48:40 How to Heal in Accelerated Times53:10 Ceremony and the Wisdom of the Elements01:02:30 Sedna and the Art of Letting Go01:08:13 Courage, Presence, and a Life Pivot01:19:26 Aquarius Community and Apocalypse Reframed01:26:37 Galactic Center, Scorpio, and Orion’s Stargate👀 FIND HEATHER ONLINE✦ Websites: https://risingmoonhealingcenter.com/https://transformingtraumatofreedom.com✦ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@HeatherEnsworth

570. #570 Neale Donald Walsch: 21 Messages on the Storm Before the Calm, Death, and Being the Source
01:03:51||Ep. 570🎬 IN THIS EPISODENeale Donald Walsch distills the 21 most life-changing messages from his 3,000-page Conversations with God dialogue into his book Letters to a Young Seeker. He explains that humanity is currently navigating "The Storm Before the Calm," a period of intense global alienation and turbulence that serves as a necessary catalyst for human evolution. Walsch redefines death not as an end to existence, but as a "change of address" where the soul returns to the spiritual realm to rest before potentially choosing to reincarnate. Central to his teaching is the Law of Opposites: we use the "darkness" of the world to experience our true nature as "the light". He challenges the illusion of separation, describing individuals as "fingers on the hands of God"—individuated but never separate from the Divine. Ultimately, he invites a profound shift in perspective: stop being a seeker and become the source. By providing for others the very joy, peace, or companionship we desire, we realize we already possess it, as what flows through us sticks to us. By embracing our identity as "individuated divinity," we can transform the current global storm into a new era of unity.🎬 EPISODE CHAPTERS:00:00 The Inspiration Behind "Letters to a Young Seeker" 04:52 The Storm Before the Calm: Why the World is in Chaos11:18 The 21 Most Critical Messages for Our Evolution17:45 The Law of Opposites: Finding the Light in Darkness24:10 The Great Illusion: Why Separation is a Lie30:55 We Are Fingers on the Hand of God 37:22 Stop Looking for a "Person" God: God is Life Itself43:10 Death is Not the End: The Soul's Change of Address49:15 The Ultimate Shift: Stop Seeking and Become the Source54:30 The Law of Flow: What You Give, You Realize You Have 01:00:05 Healing the Alienation: Coming Back to Unity 01:05:24 Final Wisdom: Sharing the Light with the Next Generation👀 FIND NEALE ONLINE✦ Website: http://www.nealedonaldwalsch.com/ ✦ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NealeDonaldWalsch ✦ YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/nealedonaldwalsch👉 Letters to a Young Seeker by Neale Donald Walsch offers 21 timeless insights on peace, purpose, and conscious living—each paired with poetic reflections by Em Claire.Explore the book here: https://a.co/d/02keGimr
