In the Dome: Calgary Flames Fan Podcast

So much for the slow and boring off-season. Craig Conroy and his fellow GM’s blew our socks off this week with some pre draft blockbusters. The Flames acquired former second overall pick Simon Nemec in a massive trade with the New Jersey Devils. Conny is making moves but is it worth the hype? Let’s discuss. 

Once again our hopes and dreams resting on a conditional pick are crushed but hey, good on old Janko and the Canes. We’re breaking down how impressive Carolina’s cup run was and how the Flames can take cues from how Eric Tulsky and co built a wagon. We’re also checking in with our friends up north as the Oilers make news for all the wrong reasons. And to wrap, we’re sending a plea to Cale Makar to not sign an extension with the Avs and be the saviour of Calgary.

The Vegas Golden Knights are once again bullying the entire league and pissing everyone off…we’re over here just green with envy wishing the Flames could take some pages out of the Vegas playbook. So today, we’re hardcore glazing Vegas and looking at what Craig Conroy’s draft strategy should be with the NHL Entry draft a month out (trust us, we are the experts Craig). 

Not a ton going on in Flames land these days BUT we have some Oilers news/incompetence to laugh at in the meantime. Also, watching the Ducks and Habs success coming out of rebuild cycles, we're hoping Conroy and the Flames are closely paying attention to how both of those teams we're built and the importance of patience.
