In the Dome: Calgary Flames Fan Podcast

The Vegas Golden Knights are once again bullying the entire league and pissing everyone off…we’re over here just green with envy wishing the Flames could take some pages out of the Vegas playbook. So today, we’re hardcore glazing Vegas and looking at what Craig Conroy’s draft strategy should be with the NHL Entry draft a month out (trust us, we are the experts Craig). 

Not a ton going on in Flames land these days BUT we have some Oilers news/incompetence to laugh at in the meantime. Also, watching the Ducks and Habs success coming out of rebuild cycles, we're hoping Conroy and the Flames are closely paying attention to how both of those teams we're built and the importance of patience.

Playoffs are in full swing so that means our annual tradition of hate watching the Greaseballs begins. The Ducks are hanging in there with the greasy pigs so that's encouraging. It also means the annual tradition of Edmonton's finest beating the crap out of each other and biting one another's ears off! You just knew they were going to win that last one, didn't you? Anyways, ZP19 scored a beauty and is looking great and it's the lowest Flames finish in a long ass time so, we can't complain. Go Flames Go

The tank rolls on but some of the new young guns are starting to look mighty fine in the pro ranks. Specifically Matvei Gridin. He’s up to 11 points in his last 15 games and is putting up numbers few Flames teenage rookies have touched in the last 20 years. Today we’re checking in on his rookie season and getting stoked on what his elite talent could do for the Flames for years to come. Go Flames Go 

With eight games remaining the Flames find themselves STILL in a prime tank position (despite their little heater on the homestand). With a tough sked coming up (mostly on the road) we're crossing our fingers the boys can secure the bag and finish in the bottom three. Oh, and one other thing...our old friend, pal, buddy, and fearless leader, Boston Pizza Jr errhhh I mean Brad Treliving, is out of a job in Toronto. WE WARNED THEM! Go Flames Go.
