How I quit alcohol

220. Living with the scars of the past with Everclear front man, Art Alexakis. *** content warning***

***** TRIGGER WARNING we talk about the rape of a child in this episode**********

In this episode, I have a wonderful conversation with Art Alexakis, the lead singer of, Everclear. Art opens up about his struggles with addiction, starting at the tender age of 8. From coping with bullying, surviving trauma, family upheaval, to dealing with his brother's tragic death at 12, Art shares how these challenges shaped him. Despite facing a drug overdose and battles with alcohol, Art found solace in recovery through AA. Now living with an MS diagnosis, he reflects on his journey, resilience, and continuing success with Everclear, both solo and as a band.
