Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering.
This week my guest is an actor and broadcaster who cracks me up as much with her bananas ideas as her jokes - it’s dear Maddy Anholt. She tries to sell me a load of crackpot bollocks about ‘skin plumping’ and we’re honest about the horror of acting castings. Oh, and she makes me the most beautiful fig and beet salad, before we smash a couple of vegan cookies all up too.
Recipes
Maddy made it up! But she talks us through the recipe in the opening minutes of the podcast. Roasted beetroot, walnuts and figs with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and maple syrup - 20 odd mins. Then over green leaves and crumbed feta or goats cheese on top.
