Hometown Gory

This week: the most important win of the season? We recalculate the scary relegation maths, grade a frankly ridiculous transfer window, and enjoy booing snakes. Obviously you’ll want to stick around for our Grammys hot takes too. 

On a scale of one to oh my god it might really happen, how scared are we? Lauren and Rosa vainly try to protect their peace after another loss. We do have a win for the women to celebrate and proof that when you sign an actual outfield player, good things happen! Plus: (sort of) comforting culture picks. We’re going to need them.

A Hometown Glory roundtable in which we tackle (almost) all the problems facing Tottenham right now, and attempt to find (LEGAL, NON VIOLENT) solutions. At least we’re trying, unlike You Know Who. 

WE WON A GAME OF ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

It’s the first episode of 2025, but the 2024 vibes are unfortunately lingering. Dare we look ahead to brighter days? Not 'til February at the earliest if we’re honest. Nevertheless, we persist. Rosa and Lauren are joined by debutant Conor as they exhume another loss, rage over unconscionable officiating, and salute Brandon Austin’s actual professional debut. There are new signings for the men and women, and two cup games against Merseyside opposition to preview (and that’s all we’re going to say about THAT). Plus! Conor and Lauren share their cultural highlights of 2024. Happy new year everyone! May it bring us better COYS days, eventually.

We did it, you guys. We survived Tottenham’s latest attempt to kill us with *that* game against United. Lauren, Rosa and Sam delight in Djed, Dom and Archie, make peace with Forster’s total headloss, and try not to think too much about what awaits us against Liverpool. But we’re semi finalists! Ange is buzzing and so are we. Merry Christmas! 

A win! A very palpable win! Lauren and Rosa exhale deep sighs of relief after Southampton 0 Spurs 5. Is this how Newcastle fans felt? We agree to sacrifice Liverpool in the league (lol) for a win against United in the Carabao and ponder the meaning of Spurs Women’s draw at Brighton (tl;dr: we need some more goals from somewhere). Finally! Rosa got emosh at the Strictly final and Lauren binged more heisty Spanish drama. Very similar vibes.
