“Step”

Season 3, Ep. 23

Join Ash, Rosa and Sam on their emotional rollercoaster as they react to being drawn against City in the Cup, and to the on-off-maybe-on-again-by-the-time-you-listen Radu Drăgușin transfer saga. We celebrate Pedro Porro’s golazo (does he score any other kind of goal?) and Rodrigo Bentancur’s surprise captaincy, and Rosa mourns her fallen hero GB. We talk ourselves into Timo Werner and look ahead to Old Trafford and an emotional game for the women against Sheffield United. Finally! Irish drama, French swashbucklers, and modern cowboys: it’s our weekly culture picks.

  • 17. “Sorry 4 The Wait”

    01:03:29||Season 4, Ep. 17
    You can’t say we didn’t enjoy it while it lasted. What an amazing 48 hours that was: one day for each week of post-Ipswich seethe. Billie, Lauren and Rosa deal with the fallout from an incredible piece of vintage Tottenham nonsense to ask: was this our best performance in the PL? And - given the subsequent givens - was it worth it? Plus! Spurs Women get the goal of the season, a clean sheet, and a potential answer to *their* goalkeeping woes at least. As the rebrand says, shine on you Spurs.
  • 16. “I Don’t Care Anymore”

    01:06:17||Season 4, Ep. 16
    The latest news from the LDN Entertainment Bowl! North London derby blues, Villa and Man City previews, a lengthy (ish) ban for Rodrigo Bentancur, and the most pressing issue of the day: a hilariously ill-timed club rebrand.
  • 15. “Institutionalized”

    01:05:07||Season 4, Ep. 15
    Five (five!!) podcasters, two post mortems, a considerable amount of head loss, one embarrassing club. (Plus, of course, our culture picks.) And we also discovered this podcast has haters. It’s all engagement, guys, so thank you from all of us at Levy Lovers HQ.
  • 14. “Welcome to the Concrete Jungle”

    01:05:29||Season 4, Ep. 14
    Is the stadium a stealth fortress? Maybe! Billie, Lauren and Rosa enjoy another thumping home win with flowers for Sarr, Solanke and PFA players rep, Gentle Ben (of course). We ponder the lineup for Galatasaray away (welcome to hell, Will Lankshear?) and wonder if Ipswich at home is actually a big mentality test (yes). We give our verdict on a very ropey but crucial win for the women against West Ham, and pray that we get out of the Etihad alive. Plus! Billie’s film reviews, Lauren’s Netflix adventures, and Rosa’s first experience of Tottenham’s former IKEA, the insanity that is Drumsheds.
  • 13. “Been There Done That”

    58:45||Season 4, Ep. 13
    Rosa and Lauren glide effortlessly past the Palace debacle to talk about the only thing that matters: Pep’s latest defeat to his bogey team. We wanted commitment, and we got it, no matter the cost (RIP Micky’s hamstrings). Deki, Sarr, Biss, wee Archie, TIMO WERNER: kings, every last one. We look ahead to another round against wily old Emery, and a must-win for the women against West Ham. Plus! Lauren went to Mexico and we’re all dying of jealousy.
  • 12. “Bubble Bath”

    01:27:36||Season 4, Ep. 12
    Celebratory bubbles for us, early baths for them: we enjoy a delightful, deserved and ultimately very funny win over West Ham. Less funny: a chastening loss for the women at Chelsea. Is it panic or pre-panic time? We look forward to the Dembele derby and beyond, send some culture picks your way, and amuse ourselves with a little Woolwich headless.
  • 11. “Love Turned Hate”

    01:05:16||Season 4, Ep. 11
    Be gentle with us, we’re recovering from being POISONED by a SNAKE in a Manchester United shirt. Lauren and Rosa sift through the debris of a bad day up north, and try not to get too scared by the upcoming trip to Chelsea. Elsewhere, we are pleased for Djed Spence but still mad at the rest of them, so it would be great if they could redeem themselves against West Ham. Plus! We applaud the creativity and of both Ms Lauren Hill and Brigadiers restaurant. Consistent professionalism? Could never be our club.
  • 10. “Hurt Me Soul”

    56:27||Season 4, Ep. 10
    Who could have foreseen? Tottenham followed up a glorious statement win with a piece of absolute, abject nonsense right before an international break. Spurs women also lost - by an identical scoreline - but they had the excuse of terrible refereeing AND they’re not making us stew over it for a full two weeks. Lauren and Rosa discuss subs, snakes, and surprise Freed From Desire attacks on holiday. Just let us live in peace!
  • 9. “Dopamine Lit”

    01:45:05||Season 4, Ep. 9
    There are few things in footballing life as delicious as watching United implode, and that is watching them implode because of your team’s exquisite, untouchable football. Angeball is back and better than ever, and we’re cherishing every second in an absurdly overlong pod. Elsewhere, the women were severely rattled but got out of Villa Park alive thanks to our captain saving the day once again. We preview so so much football, and bring you our culture picks.
