Hometown Gory

Back after our mini break, we’ve got an international check in, the Poch elephant in the room, (more) bad times for Spurs Women, culture picks, and MOST THRILLINGLY the return of the Hometown Glory quiz! Who came out on top after three fiendishly tricky rounds of Pointless Ferdinand, Glenn Squaddle, and Champions Lee? 

Is this the end of the road for Ange? Does it matter? DOES ANYTHING MATTER? 

This week, it’s one club mentality in its purest form as the men and the women both played host to Man City, and both lost by a single goal. More maddening parallels include lineup chaos, unlucky misses, and off the pitch drama that is TESTING our ability to maintain zen. Also on the agenda: a preview of our season-defining fixture at Alkmaar, and more unlucky results at the Oscars. 

Welcome to your TOTTENHAM and culture podcast. This week: farewell scary relegation maths (maybe), welcome three league wins in a row since December 2023. Are we hilariously overconfident about Europa, not confident enough, or just right? Is Timothee Chalamet running the goat Oscars campaign? And what is the Brennan Johnson of TV shows? 

We won another league game! Some players came back and it might have helped! We have relegation and revolution updates, another bad day at the Emirates for Spurs Women, and of course our culture picks.

This week we bid farewell to our domestic cup hopes and dreams, but not to Ange Postecoglou. Yet. Or maybe, by the time you listen to this. Who knows with this club? At least there’s no scary relegation maths update this week! BUT we do have, courtesy of Billie, an update on the revolution aka Change for Tottenham. Aux barricades, comrades! 

This week: the most important win of the season? We recalculate the scary relegation maths, grade a frankly ridiculous transfer window, and enjoy booing snakes. Obviously you’ll want to stick around for our Grammys hot takes too. 

On a scale of one to oh my god it might really happen, how scared are we? Lauren and Rosa vainly try to protect their peace after another loss. We do have a win for the women to celebrate and proof that when you sign an actual outfield player, good things happen! Plus: (sort of) comforting culture picks. We’re going to need them.
