We lost to them (again) and it was ghastly (again). We get in our feelings about it and then put those feelings in a bin and move on. We don’t have time for it, we’ve got a new WSL season to preview and a VERY sexy deadline day signing to discuss. Plus: food, music, telly, Seattle: it’s our culture picks. 

Welcome to the Hometown Glory 5 a side draft! Billie, Lauren, Nick and Rosa pick their dream teams from the rogues’ gallery that is 1992-onwards era Spurs. Who got the most coveted midfielder? Who picked a VERY triggering goalkeeper? Where does everyone rank our elite defenders? All this plus a Spurs Women update, culture picks, and an emotional check in before the NLD. 

This episode’s agenda includes but is not limited to: defensive lapses (again), porous midfields (again), toothless attacks (again), Sam spending all his time and money on a club that simply does not deserve him (again), and for the first time ever, a Spurs Women SNAKE. We are rattled, but we go again.  

HG’s newest signing, Nick, joins Lauren and Rosa as they celebrate the comprehensive destruction of Everton: what were we all so worried about? Nick unveils his Spurs Mount Rushmore, we have flowers for Kulu & Cuti, mild concern for Brennan, and absolutely no feelings whatsoever about the next game at St James’ Park. Just…is the bar in hell, or underneath it? 

Here we go again: Tottenham, why are you like this? Adam, Lauren, Rosa and Sam chew over that ridiculous draw at Leicester and try not to be *too* mad about it. Ahead of the next game Adam has the gang reeling over his hate for Everton (!) and Sean Dyche (!!), we get our hopes up with the Women’s League Cup draw, and there are not one but TWO restaurant recommendations. 

The new season is upon us! Billie, Lauren, Rosa and Sam talk lovely new strikers, idiotic midfielders, departing kings, and returning players hopefully not seeking revenge. We go through our hopes and dreams for the rest of the transfer window, make our predictions for the upcoming season, and accidentally have a meltdown about Leicester. Finally! Billie loves a horror movie or three, and we’re a restaurants podcast now? 

We’re back! The gang kick off by celebrating ten years of our gentle Welsh king, Ben Davies. We get excited about the younguns coming through, pass judgement on the new kits, make at least one outlandish prediction about Spurs Women, and spiral a bit - a BIT - about the transfer window. We’ve made a signing though! Lauren, Rosa and Sam lay an often turbulent and increasingly terrifying season to rest with a huge sigh of relief - they didn’t do it! - and a side of WTF - Poch sacked? We discuss the season’s heroes, villains, highs and lows, dish out grades and culture picks, and look forward to a summer of sport…and apparently a general election?! Time to take out the trash! 

Wow, that one hurt. Lauren and Rosa feel all their feelings in the aftermath of Spurs Women’s FA Cup final defeat: heartbreak, angst, pride, and belief that we’ll be back, because this is only the beginning. Also!
