Two Book Reviews: A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) and A Court of Mist And Fury (ACOMAF )

An unexpected double header after realizing that the second book in Sarah J. Maas' series is a LOT more enjoyable than the first. No major spoilers shared but listen at your own discretion because overall themes and obvious outcomes will be discussed. Why Tamlin never got my heart rate out of the resting zone, how Rhys seems like the kind of guy who would laugh at all your inappropriate jokes, and whether either would hold your hair back if you got sick. Each book is ranked 1-5 based on three categories: Spice, Adventure, and Character Development. BONUS: a Cate Blanchett movie recommendation

  • Bravo News & Movie Reviews: Dinner in America and Rebel Ridge

    01:03:59|
Take my hand and come on a side quest into a stream of consciousness about Bravo News of the week and two new movie releases. This pod answers questions like: What's the latest about Jax and Brittany? Who were the SLC newbies again and what are cast members fighting about online? Are any new movies worth watching? In anti-spoiler fashion, overarching themes and intro details of movies are shared, but major plotlines are spared. You'll get an idea of why I liked Dinner In America without knowing everything that makes this indie movie about a punk rock band and a young woman struggling to be herself, a cult classic in the making. Likewise, you'll get a snapshot of the characters and direction of Netflix's Rebel Ridge without feeling like you've already seen it. BONUS: background on "civil asset forfeiture", a rant on child marriage laws in this country, and why I love the History Channel show, ALONE. 24/7 National Maternal Mental Health Hotline: 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262) Institute for Justice: IJ.org All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda.
