Unpacking Tantra: Sensuality, Self-Acceptance and Inner Power with Henika Patel

Season 1, Ep. 6

This week's guest on Healing Place is the amazing Henika Patel, founder of the School of Sensual Arts and soon-to-be published author.

After facing a series of personal losses and depression, Henika revisited her roots, studied Tantra and Yoga in Asia, and emerged to awaken empowerment in others. Today, she blends these with bodywork, dance, and art to help people reclaim sensuality, heal from trauma, and find joy.

Henika is a warm and charismatic teacher who is deeply passionate about the healing power of tantra. Her work has been featured on Channel 4, BBC, and Apple TV and she is a thought leader on the topic of cultural appropriation.

Henika joins me to talk about tantra - it’s not all about sex! And how it can be used to: deepen self-love, and self-acceptance, improve intimacy, heal a broken heart, reclaim sensuality after sexual abuse, turn pain and trauma into power, and more. We delve into upholding the cultural roots of tantra, embracing pleasure as a birthright, not a taboo, and how the sari blouse originates. Plus, she gives us a very exciting sneak peek into her upcoming book!

Henika shares beautiful actionable practices to ignite your spark, shake off numbness, ease anxiety, and ways to deepen intimacy.

Get comfortable, press play, and get ready to ignite the flames of transformation!
