Ep. 99 A Diva's Guide To Detachment (because you're happier + more successful when you dgaf lol)

Season 1, Ep. 99
•

Hi friends! Today's episode is all about detachment! I saw a quote that "attachment is the root to suffering" and while "suffering" is a little bit of a harsh way to put it (lol) I lowkey agree! When you're attached to things and they don't go your way, or as expected, or just change in general it can hurt, but when you practice detachment and just ALLOW things to be, you in turn are so much more happy and successful in your life! From creativity to relationships this episode is about detachment in various places in our lives and learning to rewrite our internal dialogues! Let's learn how to be detached divas together! Happy listening!

  • 106. Ep. 106 How To Get Your Creative Spark Back!! (inspired by The Artist's Way lol)

    15:39||Season 1, Ep. 106
    Hi friends! I recently started listening toThe Artist's Way by Julia Cameron and it inspired this episode. I've recently been feeling a bit creatively stuck and I feel like many people I know have been too. What I heard in the book inspired some great mindset shifts for me internally about creativity and I'm excited to share them with you guys! Creativity will always ebb and flow but I feel like this mindset and these practices definitely can help get out of those ebbs faster and to creating more things you love. • 105. Ep. 105 This Is Why You Feel Like You’re “Behind” (and you’re really not lol)

    13:04||Season 1, Ep. 105
    Hi friends! This episode is absolutely no hate or shade at creators that make this kind of "cheat code" content -> sometimes myself included LOL. But a video I saw recently really opened my mind to the idea that we all internally feel so behind these days because of our constant comparison to others online and hyper exposure to these "cheat codes" Life hacks are GREAT, these people have incredible experiences and advice that we all definitely can benefit from, but it is important to remember in this era of "cheat codes" that you can't cheat your way through life. You can cheat success, happiness, love, health, you have to make it there in your very own way and TRY YOUR HARDEST not to get discouraged when it feels like teh answers are all laid out in front of you. You WILL get what you want. I believe in you. • 104. Ep. 104 Fall Reset!! (healthy habits, new routines, less scrolling, and more lol)

    19:11||Season 1, Ep. 104
    Hi friends! Today's episode is my personal fall reset of things that I have been doing/hope to do as the seasons change so I can start this next chapter off on a great foot! I can feel the fall vibes starting in my SOUL and I LOVE the motivational feelings it brings! From new phone rules, to getting a planner, to re-evaluating workout routines, fall has me feeling so motivated to be locked in/organized but having fun/at peace at the same time. Just because the leaves are dying doesn't mean you have to stop growing! • 103. Ep. 103 Optimist's Guide To Feeling Like Shit! (from avoidance to acceptance lol)

    18:07||Season 1, Ep. 103
    Hi friends! As you may know I love all things happy, positive, and joyful... but sometimes life happens and you feel like shit. I've been on a journey of learning how to process those negative feeling in ways other than avoiding/suppressing them, so I thought I'd come on here as your neighborhood optimist and tell you how I've been/am trying to get through those rougher moments without full on avoidance LOL. ANYWAY, I hope you guys enjoy (or if you're better with your emotions than me, get a laugh lol). • 102. Ep. 102 What I Learned Writing & Directing My First Short Film!! (as a 23 y/o female filmmaker from Hawai'i lol)

    25:05||Season 1, Ep. 102
    Hi friends! This past weekend I got to direct my first ever short film! If you remember, back in November I won a $10k local film grant to produce a short film that I wrote through an organization called 'Ohina. We started pre-production in January and for the last nearly 8 months Shop Local has been my LIFE. In this episode I tell you all about how it felt, what I did to prep, and the (many) lessons I learned. This was one of the greatest experiences of my life, I can't WAIT to do it again, and a 25 min pod episode can't NEARLY sum it up- but I tried :) and I hope you guys enjoy!! Also lmk if you like more content like this! Happy listening!Follow my film on Instagram! @shoplocalfilm :)Listen/watch my episode titled "I Was In A Screenwriting Fellowship!! • 101. Ep. 101 Signs You MAY Be Better Than Everyone Else (morning routines, candid pics, flexibility, and more lol)

    13:37||Season 1, Ep. 101
    Hi friends! Today's episode is silly and short, but I hope you like it! I always find myself saying "you're better than everybody else" when I hear/see people doing things that are just so perfect/desirable- so I thought I'd make a funny little episode telling you guys some if those traits/qualities/habits! This is satire but entirely true at the same time. If you make your own salad dressing- you're. better. than. everyone. else. Hopefully this episode hypes you up, makes you laugh, or inspires you to start reading a book series (so you're better than everyone you know). • 100. Ep. 100 You Can Never Truly "Start Over" (and that's a good thing lol)

    11:18||Season 1, Ep. 100
    Hi friends! Happy 100th episode!! If you've been a listener THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU. Anyway, when thinking about what to record for my 100th episode the idea of "what I would tell myself if I were to start this journey over" popped into my head, THEN an even more beautiful realization hit- I would never wish to start this over. I've loved and still love this journey I am on with the pod. With recent topics like "Destination Addiction", I just wanted to talk about the idea that we are always growing and changing and even after moving to a new city, the best sunday reset, a breakup you can't undo the person you were before, but only learn from it. So you can never truly "start over" just keep growing, changing, and iterating from where you are now- because the journey of becoming is better than any finish line.
