  • 4. S7 Ep .4 Ed Kemper - The Co-Ed Killer

    56:29||Season 7, Ep. 4
    This week's case is the infamous case of Edmund Kemper, the Co-Ed Killer.Brought to by your girls Carrie and Lozza, Ed Kemper was a serial killer who was convicted of murdering seven women and one girl between May 1972 and April 1973. However this wasn't Kemper's first murder spree as years earlier, at the age of just 15, Kemper had murdered his grandparents and sent to an adult psychiatric hospital where he honed his skills as a master manipulator, managing to get released on his 21st birthday. Believing Kemper was fully rehabilitated and no longer a danger to himself or others he was free to roam the streets of Santa Cruz, picking up hitch hikers, trying to push down the his homicidal feelings until one day it became too much. For almost a year he stalked and terrorised the area, especially the young female students of the nearby colleges. Who knows how long he would have got away with it if he hadn't of handed himself in to the police.Kemper is still alive today and has been studied by many law enforcement and psychiatric professionals, assisting with offender profiling for the FBI. We hope you enjoy our show and that we manage to bring some little known facts to this famous case.Source material for the research of this case include the excellent website Edmund Kemper Stories - Documenting the Co-Ed Killer caseAnd the superb documentary First Blood. Support the show!Blue Murder club ๐Ÿ’™ | creating True crime podcast | PatreonFor one time support Buy Me a Coffee:Blue Murder ClubLink to all things Blue Murder Club including all of the Socials - We look forward to hearing what you think about usbluemurderclub | Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok | LinktreeEvents:CrimeCon London 2025 - Get a tasty discount using our code BLUE and Crimecon even do a payment plan to spread the cost! • Bonnie & Clyde - The Original Natural Born Killers

    39:04|
    In 1932-33 there was a small time criminal gang known as the Barrow gang, active in the surrounding area of Dallas. The gang were known and wanted for various crimes locally but worldwide notoriety was just around the corner for two members of the gang. In April 1933 police officers raided a house in Joplin, Missouri planning to bust bootleggers. However it wasnโ€™t and was in fact the current hideout of the Barrow gang. The gang members fled so quickly that they had to leave behind all of their possessions including a camera full of undeveloped film. When that film was developed the photos were so explosive that a legend was born, the legend of Bonnie and Clyde.
