Encompassing Mental Health-Heart, Mind, and Soul
The heart, mind, and soul are often talked about as if they are three different things. Which they are, however, they are three CRITICAL components to every human body. We weren't created to only have a mind, but no heart and no soul and vice versa. So many times, mental health is focused on that only, the mind. What would change in mental health care if these three things were "treated" as a package deal? If we could somehow create a holistic approach to mental health while encompassing not just the mind, but also the heart and soul, would we see a change in efficacy?
We know that God renews our mind and our soul [๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ด 12:2, ๐๐ด๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ 23:3].
He gives us peace and strength [๐๐ฐ๐ฉ๐ฏ 14:27, ๐๐ด๐ข๐ช๐ข๐ฉ 41:10],
and in Him, we can find rest [๐๐ข๐ต๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ธ 11:28].
He works all things together for us, and He is near to those who are struggling [๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ด 8:28, ๐๐ด๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ด 34:18].
