•
It may be an Interlull but we've still got a podcast for you today, and in the wake of Arsenal's financial results being released last week, I chat with Kieron O'Connor (@SwissRamble), about a healthy profit, cash in the bank, how we still lag behind the others in terms of commercial revenue, the challenges of improving that in a season when we're in the Europa League, potential transfer funds and lots more. We also touch on the current situation involving Stan Kroenke and Alisher Usmanov, and what the future might hold there.

Arsecast Extra Episode 683 - 23.02.2026
01:40:58|In this episode we're looking back on, and enjoying, a second 4-1 North London derby win of the season. We chat about Arsenal's early dominance, and the nonsensical nature of the early stoppage in the game which, thankfully, didn't halt our momentum. We should have been ahead at the break after Eberechi Eze put us 1-0 up, but a big mistake from Declan Rice saw them equalise. We turned the screw in the second half though, with another from Eze and two from Viktor Gyokeres who put in a really impressive performance. We also discuss the disallowed goal and David Raya's incredible save, as well as how the Gunners responded to the midweek disappointment at Wolves. In part 2 we have questions about Jurrien Timber and Cristhian Mosquera, whether Eze should keep his place for the game against Chelsea on Sunday, Declan Rice's on-pitch comportment in recent times, whether we'd like to see Sp*rs get relegated, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblogAlso, if you're a fan of the show, please leave us a rating/review on your favourite podcast app, it'd be greatly appreciated!
Arsecast Extra Episode 682 - 19.02.2026
01:02:59|In this hastily scheduled half of an Arsecast Extra, James and I look back at last night's horrendous 2-2 draw with Wolves at Molineux. We discuss the team selection, and how after making a great start, Arsenal failed to capitalise on Bukayo Saka's early goal. Despite going 2-0 up, we let it slip, and we analyse the goals we conceded, the unpleasant trends regarding our goal concessions this season, and how the defensive lapses are secondary to the fact that the attack looks so inhibited at this moment in time. We also wonder if that plays a part in the way the team played with fear in the second half, what it all means for the title race, the questions about our mentality, the growing sense of now or never for Mikel Arteta and, at the heart of it, a sense of frustration because we know this is a team capable of much better than we've been seeing of late. Arsecast Extra Episode 681 - 16.02.2026
01:20:34|In this episode we look back at the 4-0 win over Wigan in the FA Cup 4th round on Sunday. It looked like we were going to see Myles Lewis-Skelly in midfield, but a late rejig saw Bukayo Saka play there instead. There's a lot of discussion of him in that position, and whether it's something we might, or indeed should, see more of between now and the end of the season. We discuss the flurry of goals we scored in the first half, the contribution of Eberechi Eze with two assists, a firing forward line, and the way the rest of the game played out with some interesting young cameos in the second half. There are also listener questions about Cristhian Mosquera, Ethan Nwaneri's unsettled situation in Marseille, Ben White and Christian Norgaard, injuries in the warm-ups, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblogAlso, if you're a fan of the show, please leave us a rating/review on your favourite podcast app, it'd be greatly appreciated!
Episode 864 - Looking for the spark
01:10:33|In this episode I'm joined by Ryan Hunn of the Stadio podcast to pore over last night's 1-1 draw with Brentford. We discuss a first half in which nothing much happened, but one which raised further questions about Eberechi Eze, and how we get more out him in an Arsenal shirt. The half-time introduction of Martin Odegaard helped, Noni Madueke put us ahead but we immediately sat back and Brentford equalised not long afterwards. We try and explain how and why that happened, as well as chatting about the final stages of the game in which we could have both won and last the game, coping with the chaos of the opposition set-pieces, hindsight substitutions, the grind of the Premier League, what Mikel Arteta will do – if anything – to try and find the attacking spark, and lots more.Follow Ryan on BlueSky here: https://bsky.app/profile/ryanhunn.bsky.socialGet extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog
Arsecast Extra Episode 680 - 09.02.2026
01:32:39|In this episode we look back at the 3-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday afternoon. There's discussion of a tricky enough first half and the visitors' approach to the game, before Martin Zubimendi cracked the game open with his 6th goal of the season. The Gunners had chances to score more, and we then talk about the impact of Mikel Arteta's substitutions after Viktor Gyokeres came off the bench to score twice and Gabriel Martinelli provided an assist for one of them. We also touch on the influence of Leandro Trossard and the midfield pairing of Declan Rice and Zubimendi, before we answer questions about William Saliba, shirt pulling, Martinelli's performance levels this season, the big game at Anfield between Liverpool and Man City, and loads more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog

Episode 863 - Masterplan
59:46|In this episode I'm joined by Lewis Ambrose to look back at Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. We discuss Chelsea's approach to a game they had to score in, and their decision to essentially nullify the game for an hour, giving them less time to find a goal. Was this an understandable tactical approach from Liam Rosenior, or something of a misstep. We also chat about how Arsenal dealt with the game, leaning into our defensive solidity, before scoring what was a very enjoyable goal right at the end through Kai Havertz to absolutely ensure our pathway to a Wembley final next month. As well as that, there's discussion of what this trophy might mean for the team and the fans after so long without tangible success, and lots more besides.
