Hometown Gory
“One and Only” (feat. Jenna Schillaci)
Jenna Schillaci is a true Tottenham hero. She talks Rosa through her astonishing 12-year Spurs career: one that took in eight trophies and captaining our rise from regional football to leading us out in the WSL as a professional outfit. Coming from a huge Tottenham family, Jenna’s HG Spurs Seven answers are brilliant (we especially enjoyed hearing about her dad using his black cab to round up enough teammates for Jenna to play, changing room tunes, the team’s Sunday Fun Day, how we can all better support Spurs Women, whether she’d want to become Spurs boss now she’s coaching at the club and her name our stars of the future) and we loved having her on. Spurs Women simply wouldn’t be where they are without Jenna.

20. “We Up”
01:21:33||Season 5, Ep. 20Tottenham followed up their best result at St James’ Park since the halcyon days of Steve Bruce with a very sensible 2 nil win over Brentford. Ash, Billie, Lauren and Rosa enjoy the break from Boogate, swoon over Xavi, and present the case for the prosecution AND defence of one Richarlison de Andrade. Elsewhere, our beloved captain Beth England led the fightback against Villa, supported by the magic of Olivia Holdt. Also! Is cinema dead? For Billie’s sake, let’s hope not.
19. “Stranger”
01:05:53||Season 5, Ep. 19Following a spirited but ultimately futile showing against PSG, our extremely unmighty lilywhites crashed and burned against the mighty Fulham. At home, of course. Lauren and Rosa discuss the big questions: what on earth is Frank doing and for the love of god, why? Do we hate the players more than they hate us? How much trouble is the club really in? And of course: to boo or not to boo?
18. “Mayday”
57:27||Season 5, Ep. 18We count the ways in which the team violated Lauren’s Rule of Three for derbies: 1) Don’t embarrass the shirt 2) Don’t embarrass the fans 3) Don’t embarrass the clubAnd we give our sincerest, most heartfelt thanks for Martin Ho and the players of Spurs Women, who understand professional pride.
17. “GOOD FEELiNGS”
01:29:08||Season 5, Ep. 17Your monthly Spurs Women deep dive is here, and in a truly serendipitous bit of timing, we’re bringing it to you right after a hard fought and well earned NLD draw. The perfect time for Lauren, Rosa and HG debutant Charlotte to assess the last few weeks: the highs, the lows, the fine-for-nows. The arc of the universe is long, but it bends towards Spurs Women being good, we’re pretty sure.
16. “We Is Us”
01:15:37||Season 5, Ep. 16After a careful review of the evidence (tactics, team selection, results) and the mitigating factors (criminal squad building, increasingly surreal injury crisis, personality mismatch with a passionate but quite mad fanbase) we give Thomas Frank his first grades of the season. Let us know how much you disagree! Also, come and support Spurs Women at the NLD next weekend.
15. “The Traitors”
01:21:05||Season 5, Ep. 15The fans hate the players, the players hate the fans, we all hate the stadium. Journey with us into the dark heart of Tottenham Hotspur. Unless you’re here for Tottenham Women, in which case, please continue to enjoy professional, competent football.
14. “Thinking Clean”
01:10:44||Season 5, Ep. 14The clocks have gone back, the nights are drawing in, it is COLD…but we have the lovely glow of a 3 nil win at Everton to keep us warm and snuggly. Has Micky grown into the captaincy? Does everyone owe Vic an apology? Can we give Sarr a group hug? Elsewhere, we anxiously await the returning internationals of Spurs Women to work out if our season is finished or not…
13. “50/50”
01:01:37||Season 5, Ep. 13Another home league game, another defeat, just the start we wanted to our run of six games in two weeks. What went wrong (this time)? Is it the squad? The system? The stadium? Is it US? At least Lauren made the right choice at the weekend: watching Olivia Holdt weave her magic against Birmingham City. No YOU’RE worried we might lose her (and Toko, and Martin) to a bigger club. Also: JUSTICE FOR AMANDA.
12. “A Hopeful Transmission”
01:00:37||Season 5, Ep. 12Spurs Women are still on course for 42 points AND they remain above Ballon d’Or team of the year. Lauren and Rosa review the loss that feels like a draw at Chelsea, check in on the international men of Tottenham, and look ahead to more Midlands mayhem with games against Birmingham and Villa.
