“In Sickness and In Health”

Season 3, Ep. 3

The king is dead, long live a bunch of new kings! Billie, Charlie, Rosa and Tom bid final farewells to Harry, give heartfelt thanks to RB Leipzig for saving us from a thousand memes and offer our appreciation to you, our listeners, on helping us build our Ultimate Kane Leaving playlist (available here and here!). There’s no time to dwell, though, cos there’s an actual game of football to chat about! We give our winners and losers from the lively Brentford draw, before handing over to you lovely lot for a Rolling In the Tweets: Debuts Special. There are bold predictions made for the Man United home opener, hellos said to a new Spurs Women midfielder and nervy looks given to England’s World Cup semi—all before you get our weekly culture picks. Exciting times, eh?

If you fancy skipping to certain bits:

00:00 — Kane!

15:00 — A new era at Brentford

50:00 — United predictions

1:00:00 — Rolling In the Tweets

  • 25. “Ladies Hit Squad”

    01:17:05||Season 5, Ep. 25
    New year, same old Spurs - at least as far as the men are concerned. For the women, it’s a bright new day with five - that’s FIVE - signings made this window. The men could quite literally never. Or they could, but it wouldn’t make any difference. Or would it?
  • 24. “Best to You”

    01:00:09||Season 5, Ep. 24
    Billie, Lauren and Rosa take the positive(s?) from the Palace win, and make their transfer wish lists (in AND out) and COYS resolutions for the year ahead. Because it’s the last pod of the year, we take one last weepy look back at Bilbao, the parade, and all the love we can give this club when it just shows us it cares. And most importantly of all, we dish out our Best of 2025 culture picks.

  • 22. “Up&Up”

    01:15:28||Season 5, Ep. 22
    It’s your mid-season Spurs Women deep dive: flowers for Martin, Toko, Olivia, Drew, Clare, Eveliina…you know what, flowers for EVERYONE. What a half season it’s been! Please don’t screw it up for them, The Lewis Family™️.
  • 21. “Demon Days”

    01:10:00||Season 5, Ep. 21
    The office Powerleague team returns to get absolutely thumped by SEAN DYCHE’S Nottingham Forest. What is there even to say. Elsewhere, the women came agonisingly close to an incredible victory over Man Utd but were undone by, essentially, years of underinvestment. Crazy how bad decisions come back to bite you, isn’t it?
  • 20. “We Up”

    01:21:33||Season 5, Ep. 20
    Tottenham followed up their best result at St James’ Park since the halcyon days of Steve Bruce with a very sensible 2 nil win over Brentford. Ash, Billie, Lauren and Rosa enjoy the break from Boogate, swoon over Xavi, and present the case for the prosecution AND defence of one Richarlison de Andrade.  Elsewhere, our beloved captain Beth England led the fightback against Villa, supported by the magic of Olivia Holdt. Also! Is cinema dead? For Billie’s sake, let’s hope not.
  • 19. “Stranger”

    01:05:53||Season 5, Ep. 19
    Following a spirited but ultimately futile showing against PSG, our extremely unmighty lilywhites crashed and burned against the mighty Fulham. At home, of course. Lauren and Rosa discuss the big questions: what on earth is Frank doing and for the love of god, why? Do we hate the players more than they hate us? How much trouble is the club really in? And of course: to boo or not to boo?
  • 18. “Mayday”

    57:27||Season 5, Ep. 18
    We count the ways in which the team violated Lauren’s Rule of Three for derbies:1) Don’t embarrass the shirt 2) Don’t embarrass the fans 3) Don’t embarrass yourselvesAnd we give our sincerest, most heartfelt thanks for Martin Ho and the players of Spurs Women, who understand professional pride.
  • 17. “GOOD FEELiNGS”

    01:29:08||Season 5, Ep. 17
    Your monthly Spurs Women deep dive is here, and in a truly serendipitous bit of timing, we’re bringing it to you right after a hard fought and well earned NLD draw. The perfect time for Lauren, Rosa and HG debutant Charlotte to assess the last few weeks: the highs, the lows, the fine-for-nows. The arc of the universe is long, but it bends towards Spurs Women being good, we’re pretty sure.
