Shiv Aroor, consulting editor, India Today speaks to Abhinandan Sekhri about his debut novel, Operation Jinnah--a military thriller set in Kashmir, New Delhi and New York. Aroor explains how he started covering the defense beat and his obsession with military forces and combat operations, how difficult writing a fictional account of military operations based on the real incidents can be. He weighs in on where India stands on when it comes to women in combat roles in the army, the Kashmir conundrum; is there a solution? Sekhri asks Aroor about the new era of journalism.
