I’ve been lucky to help Tiny Tales get off the ground with editing and production, so it was great to jump behind the microphone and share the story.Tune in for the real story behind the shows, plenty of podcasting insights, and a look at what happens before the episode ever reaches your ears. A big thanks to Tiny Tales for having me on and for the support. This week we are part of a special podcast collaboration with the crew from Tiny Tales Podcast for an honest, energetic yarn about how I got started in podcasting, what sparked my interest, and how 5 With A Digger and Digger Network Media came to life.We dive into the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making a podcast, the lessons I’ve picked up along the way, and where I’d like to take things next. 01:02:30||Season 1, Ep. 130This week’s guest is a little bit different, she’s not a veteran, but her story of fitness, business, community and completely changing direction in life is one worth hearing. 💪A mum of four and granny of five, she went from a career in banking and financial planning to completing her Cert III & IV in Fitness after people started noticing her own results and asking her for advice. Then in 2013, redundancy forced a change of direction. She started training at Anytime Fitness Cooroy, applied for the manager’s job and started the very next day.By April 2014, she’d bought the gym. 🔥What started as essentially buying herself a wage became something much bigger.🏋️ Around 400 members grew to 900👥 A team of 3 grew to 10🤝 And most importantly, she built a genuine community where people feel like they belong. In this episode we chat about her journey, taking risks, running a business, the importance of community, and how fitness can be about so much more than just training. For veterans especially, getting back into a gym can sometimes be that first step towards routine, connection and finding your people again. This is a great conversation about backing yourself, changing direction and building something that matters.https://www.facebook.com/AnytimeFitnessCooroy/https://www.instagram.com/atf_cooroy/?hl=enhttps://www.anytimefitness.com/en-au/locations/cooroy-queensland-au-1030It’ll Take A Tribe Community Food Bank Open - FacebookFind us on Instagram and Facebook.
