3 Beers And A Movie

One of us has been off so has been busy watching everything, we start with recent Jason Statham offering where he is once again playing a retired special forces soldier with a heart of gold in 'Shelter', we stay in the highlands with Peter Mullan 'The Fall Of Sir Douglas Weatherford', we then travel to Brazil for 'Beast Race', the globe trotting continues with a trip to Italy for drama 'La Chimera' and we finish by going back in time ...way back with 'The End Of Oak Street'

This week we catch up on a few lesser seen movies as the cinema is still dominated by the big hitters and all the screens are being swallowed up.We watch British indie time travel/drama 'Rose Of Nevada', heavy emotional drama with a heavyweight performance from Daniel Day Lewis 'Anemone', hot air balloon thriller on Prime Video 'Turbulence', Sky cinema action thriller 'Seven Snipers' and we end with an end of the world mystery 'The Last House'

It is a busy week for us with lots of cinema catch up and lots of TV.When we finally get to new movies we start with Netflix 'comedy' starring Kevin Hart '72 Hours', the directorial debut of Scarlett Johansson with touching emotional drama 'Eleanor The Great', Amazon Prime teenagers being eaten by sharks movie 'The Devil's Mouth', and we finish with the return of everyone's favourite web slinger (filmed partly in our fair city) 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

One of us is silly enough to spend an evening watching 'Scary Movie 6' and he deeply deeply regrets every second of it. We then watch podcast favourite Maika Monroe in thriller 'In Cold Light', Kate Beckinsale is back with action thriller in 'Wildcat', Apple+ comedy/romance 'The Drip' and we finish what many are calling 'the cinema event of the year' with the return of Christopher Nolan with an all-star cast, telling the epic tale of 'The Odyssey'.

We do talk about movies this week starting with parallel universe hopping offering 'Redux Redux', Canadian time travel music duo fare 'Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie', some geriatric action thrills with 'The Last Stand Of Ellen Cole' and we finish with sports horror/Lord Of The Flies infused offering 'The Plague' But mostly this episode is us saying goodbye to a favourite, Dr Alan Grant himself, Mr Sam Neill. We felt this loss deeply, a man who embraced life, brought immense joy and love to the world and was a damn fine actor. He will be greatly missed.

One of us is very very hungover and his voice tells the story. We discuss the fifth and final season of 'The Bear', when the movies arrive its about horror road trip in 'Passenger', Hollywood relationship drama with 'The Uninvited', crime thriller/mystery from France 'A Private Life', the newest superhero offering 'Supergirl' and we finish with the sixth instalment in a horror franchise 'Evil Dead Burn'

Its a busy but somewhat 6/10 week on the pod this week as we talk about the latest offering from Pixar 'Toy Story 5', Netflix arthouse effort 'In The Hands Of Dante', young adult offering of a classic hero in 'Enola Holmes 3' and we finish with sequel to a beloved Oscar nominated original 'The Devil Wear Prada 2'

The World Cup is in full effect, its stupidly warm and Metallica are in town so our movie watching is rather limitedWe do get to the cinema for Manchester based rom-com 'Finding Emily', podcast favourite Samara Weaving is back with southern heist romance 'Carolina Caroline' on Sky Cinema and we finish with new netflix comedy with John Cena and Eric Andre 'Little Brother'.
