10/10 You're Great

Emovember: Frame & Canvas

Season 1, Ep. 35

THIS WEEK: It's a thanksgiving miracle because album time is actually good? Too bad its like 3 hours into the podcast when we get there but hey that's content, baby it just goes on forever. It's like heaven-- infinite in each direction but its all just clouds. Also the album we talk about is Braid's 1998 classic, Frame & Canvas. Also the month is emo themed, it's a whole thing.

Also also also up for discussion: A breaded chicken becomes newly single, Lucas visits the Yukon(?) and the boys consider pivoting to a food and or bible themed podcast instead of whatever this has become.

    01:40:21||Season 2, Ep. 22
    Maypril concludes this very day with our most May and April choice yet: Mayps and Aprilses. That's how we say Maps & Atlases, which is an indie math rock thing you should've heard of already if you haen't. That's how we say haven't. I know that Tree Swallow Houses but I'm so hungry I could swallow a horse house (barn).Other Rodneys up for Dangerfieldcussion include: Our podcast is too long, say Chris' friends and all people with good time management, 2 guest showtimes with prompts, and we dare you to answer our riddles three and identify the correct ogre.

  • 20. Saturdays = Youth

    01:22:22||Season 2, Ep. 20
    Maypril continues this week with our most May album yet: Mayty-3. We all know that's a stretch but if you though we were going to come up with a theme and then not immediately run out of ideas for it, IDK what podcast you've been listening through but taint this'un. Also up for discussion: One of the lads buys a large, antique, hammered bronze plate depicting a tavern scene (real), RFK is called out in a very bubbly BevCheck, and a very thorough recap of an episode of The Rehearsal as this becomes some sort of TV pod.

  • 17. Continuum

    01:53:21||Season 2, Ep. 17
    Folx-- we've heard the cries from our mother's daughters and done an album by old sexy blue eyes (use google AI and it will confirm that he has blue eyes, famously) John Mayer. Our podcast is a wonderland is a thing I would say if I was a hack, which is why I bravely did not. Also up for discussion: When in the World is Carmen Thanksgivingo, no one on earth can eat American foods because they aren't safe to consume, and is this 98 degrees because its a wall a Mountain Goat could stand on.
  • 16. Wowee Zowee

    01:35:51||Season 2, Ep. 16
    The first rule of Mafia Club is: Leave the Wow, take the Zownnoli - Marlon "Joe" Brandon. This week we follow his advice up a set of spiral stairs and into milkmouse castle as we discuss what must legally be the climax of this sentence: an album called Wowee Zowee by Pavement. Also up for discussion: hot bevs can't melt steel beams as we become an edgy post woke leftist centrist right wing podcast.
  • 15. The Horizon Just Laughed — With Rapt

    01:38:55||Season 2, Ep. 15
    Folks we've done it once again: we have radiated so much electric hotness that we had to go folk with Damien Jurado's The Horizon Just Laughed. I'd say this was our Bob Dylan's going electric moment but in reverse but in fact we remain the Bobs of Never Shutting Up.Speaking of speaking we speak with Rapt AKA Jacob Ware about this album and we also listen to his music and nod sagely and weep. Big thank you to him for putting up with our yank antics. Also John Cougar Mellencamp is discussed for unknowable reasons. When a musician's genre is labeled "heartland rock" on Wikipedia we should not be bothering Europeans about that, keep that under lock and key.Please enjoy Rapt anywhere music is found: http://linktr.ee/jacobwrapt
  • 14. Tokyo Adrift

    01:44:12||Season 2, Ep. 14
    Well we've done it: we've run out of albums we love. Just KIDDING we only ran out of talent and time to do a regular episode isnt that much better? So this week we do a little riffing about our trip to Japan, house rebuilding woes, and a triple intercontinental bevcheck. Plus since Chris didn't go to Japan he went to like 18 shows.
