10/10 You're Great

Maps & Atlases

Season 2, Ep. 22

Maypril concludes this very day with our most May and April choice yet: Mayps and Aprilses. That's how we say Maps & Atlases, which is an indie math rock thing you should've heard of already if you haen't. That's how we say haven't. I know that Tree Swallow Houses but I'm so hungry I could swallow a horse house (barn).

Other Rodneys up for Dangerfieldcussion include: Our podcast is too long, say Chris' friends and all people with good time management, 2 guest showtimes with prompts, and we dare you to answer our riddles three and identify the correct ogre.

Also this week we get trancey with it by exploring The Field's debut record, From Here We Go Sublime. The band Sublime is not ever referenced, so don't worry we'll go Skablime later. Also up for discussion: A treatise on the nature of sports, Reddit is the worst website except also a few others as well, and Aphex Twin is now the internet's darling son.

  • 1. Best of 2025

    02:01:10||Season 3, Ep. 1
    2026 is here and you know what that means-- 2 months ago all the music publications listed their favorite records of the year! Bravely and hotly we waited until the year was done before deciding our favorites, which happened to turn out to mostly be the ones from the publications you already read, but said with our voices!Also up for discussion: Movies are the new talkies and there were many this year per Lucas' ranking, Chris razzles and or dazzles with 10 different album of the year categories, and Charlie just does a top 5 albums because no one discussed what the rules of this thing would be beforehand.
  • 50. Five for Foxing: Foxing (S/T)

    01:30:10||Season 2, Ep. 50
    In our final episode of Five for Foxing, we discuss Foxing's Foxing. If you say that sentence three times into a mirror a man with a sword and a mustache will croon to you from beyond the nether, my uncle told me at a campground. Also up for self-titlescussion: Christmas music has gone too far this time but cannot be stopped, the Bears play the Sharks in the Giant's hometown per Chris, and Tacoma presents Tahoma and has a fruity aroma.
  • 49. Five for Foxing: Draw Down the Moon

    01:27:22||Season 2, Ep. 49
    This week you can draw your moon to us as we discover Foxing's fourth, pentultimate and most Majora's Mask-coded album: Draw Down the Moon. I'm thinking bout drawing down a cool glass of water and boiling up a kettle corn --my impersonation of a prospector. Also up for discussion: We become a Car Talk podcast, downtown Seattle is back in business thanks to Borders, and the phrase "festival rock" is abused from all angles.
  • 48. Five for Foxing: Nearer My God

    01:45:56||Season 2, Ep. 48
    This week! We want it all-- and we feel the love in suspension by discussing Nearer My God by Foxing as part of our holy mission to discuss all five of their records and give each one a 10/10 and mainly just sing over the tracks while nodding and saying "this rocks". Also up for singscussion: Thanksgiving is had, talks with a dad, and turns out the world's politics is bad. Tonight!
  • 47. Five for Foxing: Dealer

    01:43:42||Season 2, Ep. 47
    Theres no “the” about it— this week we are discussing Foxing’s Dealer. And that’s without a the, which is what I was referencing before with the first sentence.Also up for discussion: 8 cellos is not enough, even if the instructor’s wife loves your touch, no albums were born on this day in 1996, and a soda company releases a false flag holiday slurp.
  • DELAY ANNOUNCEMENT BIG SORRY

    00:35|
    WE WILL NOT HAVE AN EPISODE TODAY DUE TO HOLIDAYS-- We will however have an ep for you in time for Thanksgiving so please be patient thank you. Also maybe don't listen to this audio I had to make a theme and there's a reason Lucas does those for us.
  • 46. Five for Foxing: The Albatross

    01:58:42||Season 2, Ep. 46
    For the next few weeks (THIS MONTH) we are doing five weeks (TONIGHT) of album reviews of a band we all love (THIS LIFE) called Foxing. They are calling it quits and we are calling them hotter than Imhotep and even Anubis-- who is a dog(?) and not a fox(!) and also we do know that Foxing is related to how parchment ages so shut up about terminology and words.Also up for finger lickin' foxscussion: How to discern flavor 2025, we kiss each other clean, and Nujabes is for Youjabes RIP in memorium.
