Episode 203 - Free entertainment and let chaos reign Feat Will Boyajian

Season 6, Ep. 203

This week i get together with online sensation and fellow moustache man Will Boyajian. Will is an a writer, actor, creator, musician and overall champ as during this chat he was quite sick so double shout out for him!

But more importantly he's a huge proponent in hopeful cases, A NYC based philanthropic group in which subway performers open up their hats, and cases and allow anyone with need or otherwise to take as much as they need. With a very simple message "If you've got extra to share, share it".

Will has a fascinating background and is mostly known online for being the life and soul or RPAN on Reddit with his musical stylings and has been featured many a time for what people see as the madness of giving away money. Something I can relate to.

So if you would, check him out and his work and lets settle down to let the madness of "free" reign.

.This week i sit down with purveyor of funny and filth Sarah Sharp. AKA WTFPots. Sarah is a self taught sculptor who is best known for portraying the weird and wonderfull human body in a sculpted fashion. Everything from prolapse anus's, mice in vaginas and penis bananas. There is no end to the wonderful things her mind can do with imagery and pottery. Recommended by a previous guest we catch up to talk the challenges of being an artist on social media especially when the work you make no longer fits the "Acceptable" terms and conditions of the platform. So quick come join us before Youtube bans us. Even though I marked this episode for adults only and gave you plenty of warning! You can find Sarah at:https://www.etsy.com/shop/wtfpotshttps://www.instagram.com/wtfpotshttps://www.facebook.com/WTFpotsAvailable also on:Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcrete
  • 251. Episode 251 - The fundamentals of creating.

    31:51
The first fundamental of creating is "F*** your fundamentals" Or rather that the best way to create anything is to consider that your core values and what you're looking to get out of things is often different to someone else.So whether you're looking to understand the fundamentals of photography, Illustration, sculpture, baking, building, music or anything which requires some level of method and technique to complete My first suggestion is to simply just try and work with what you have and then build on top of your first fail. As someone who fully utilizes visual language as a way of communicating and with a podcast which is based around encouraging discussion and communication it felt about the right time to sit down and catch up.In doing so this week we discuss just how little we know of one another despite both of us having a fairly solid online presence and how we've know each other through other people for years but are both very guarded with our own lives. In a world where people are living online and exposing every inch of their day it was great to catch up. Talk a little personally of the why we are as we are and see just what we could learn! You can find more of Sarah via :https://www.instagram.com/spadgerinahttps://spadgeuk.com/
  • 249. Episode 249 - You don't still watch cartoons do you?

    24:04
Who watches cartoons? Should adults watch cartoons? Is it ok to enjoy cartoons? Mystery ain't it. It seems a generational divide more than anything where adults who play with lego, parents who play video games and people who enjoy oddity are setup to be knocked down when they meet people who are older. This week I wax lyrical on a topic of when i was questioned by an older woman in a lift and discuss how your interest in novelty doesn't define how good or bad you are at taking responsibility within your own life. • 245. Episode 245 - There are starving kids somewhere.

    21:53
Feel bad about your life? How dare you? Got a complaint about the world? What a whiny kid you are. Didn't you know there is always someone worse of, in peril or wholly unprepared for whatever situation they are befallen with? You didn't? Oh well let me explain. That's right we're going out on a bang of controversey and logic. Something we were told often as kids or at least my generation was "There are kids starving in Africa" hell our generation coined the phrase "First world problems" but the reality is never so simple. Tragedy and pain isn't comparable and there will be always people worse off. So lets delve into that and discuss the phrases which made us feel guilty and how you can have a bad time and still sympathise with those having a worst one.Ituneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete
  • 244. Episode 244 - Acts of defiance add up

    25:48
In the second to last episode of the year we talk about defiance, how differing from the status can be liberating but come with many pitfalls and how social media has generated a culture of being seen to be against things but doesn't necessarily progress a cause and how considering your actions and methods along side your online presence can be very effective. It's also just a chance to tell a few childhood stories and apologise for something I did as a youngster and not apologise for some others.tuneshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yelling-at-concrete/id1238765054Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3T2OhYE07edgaBDXrm86saAcasthttps://shows.acast.com/yellingatconcreteYou can support the show and Graham by visitingwww.instagram.com/yellingatconcretewww.yellingatconcrete.bigcartel.comwww.ko-fi.com/yellingatconcrete
