YE1 Spurs
1991/92: Venables' New Broomstick
Ep. 54
•
FA Cup-winning manager Terry Venables had moved upstairs, leaving returning boss Peter Shreeves, who had previously managed Spurs between '84 and '86, to answer to new chairman Alan Sugar.
This was the final season of the old First Divison, as the FA Premier League waited in the wings to launch in the summer of '92, meanwhile, Paul Gascoigne missed the entire campaign as a result of injury sustained in last season's FA Cup Final, and Gary Lineker played out a farewell procession before his impending move to Japan.
