WWE Is Broken… Here’s How We Fix It
52:59|Following escalating tensions within the WFWSHOW Discord, Shane has been locked out of all accounts amid a legal battle for control of the WFSHOW-Verse. After a disputed mutiny and the mysterious release of a “dead” podcast on Spotify hosted by Morro and Gherkins, the situation has now reached full escalation with lawyers involved and control of the channel in question. In what can only be described as an act of outright defiance, The Old Bucks have commandeered the Dungeon studio and recorded a completely unauthorised episode without Shane’s involvement. Now operating as “The New Old Bucks,” Morro and Gherkins turn their attention to the state of modern WWE and attempt to fix it from their perspective. What is going wrong creatively? Why is The Bloodline story resurfacing again? Has the European tour influenced the product in any meaningful way?The lads also break down key names and directions across the roster, including CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and the wider main event picture, as they try to make sense of WWE’s current creative direction. And the biggest question of all: where does Johnny Morts’ allegiance actually lie in all of this?Join the discord: https://discord.gg/EmYZk6gKT

The TNA Retrospective
01:12:55|The Old Bucks are back in the Gorilla Room to discuss one of the most fascinating promotions in wrestling history: TNA Wrestling.Love it or hate it, TNA has left a lasting mark on the wrestling industry. The lads look back at the promotion's greatest successes, from helping establish stars such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle and Gail Kim, to creating an alternative for wrestling fans during WWE's monopoly years.Of course, no discussion about TNA would be complete without examining the mistakes. From controversial creative decisions to the eras dominated by figures like Jeff Jarrett and Hulk Hogan, the lads discuss the decisions that held the company back and the opportunities that slipped away. The conversation also explores perhaps TNA's most remarkable achievement: survival. Through ownership changes, rebrands, financial struggles, roster overhauls, and constant predictions of its demise, the promotion has somehow endured. Finally, Shane and Morro examine where TNA stands in 2026. Following the much-praised period under Scott D'Amore, has the company maintained its momentum, and what role does it play in the wrestling landscape today?Join the Wrestling Fan Wrestling Show Discord for 24/7 wrestling chat and future podcast topics: https://discord.com/invite/rdBk3d4aH

Noche de Los Grandes: Why We Love Wrestling
01:20:47|It's a three-man booth this week as The Old Bucks and Gherkins gather in the Gorilla Room to discuss one of the most gloriously ridiculous wrestling matches in recent memory. At Noche de Los Grandes, an American Olympic wrestler pretending to be a luchador and wearing a mask faced a German wrestler pretending to be an American, who was also wearing a luchador mask. The stipulation? One of these men, both of whom we've watched wrestle without masks for years, would lose their mask and suffer the ultimate humiliation. On paper it's completely absurd. In practice? It was outstanding. The lads break down the incredible atmosphere in Mexico, the crowd's investment in the story, and why Chad Gable deserves enormous credit for helping create one of the most entertaining wrestling spectacles of the year. They discuss why the match worked so well, why lucha traditions still matter, and whether this was genuinely one of the best things WWE has produced in years. There's also time to touch on WWE Clash in Italy and some of the other major happenings across the wrestling world. Sometimes wrestling is at its best when it fully embraces how ridiculous it can be.
Why You Should Be Watching AEW Right Now
01:24:21|Morro is back in the Gorilla Room, and this week he has a mission: convince Shane — a lapsed AEW fan who’s increasingly falling out of love with weekly TV wrestling — that AEW is worth watching again. The lads dive into what’s changed in recent months and whether the company has genuinely turned a corner. Has Darby Allin’s world title run helped reshape the feel of AEW? Are stories finally clicking again? And does the product feel more focused than it did a year ago? There’s praise for the current run of FTR, discussion around Will Ospreay and the Death Riders, and a wider conversation about whether AEW has rediscovered the balance between great wrestling and meaningful storytelling. At its core, this is a conversation between two longtime wrestling fans trying to figure out whether “the feeling” really is back in AEW — or if it’s just another short-term spike.Join our discord: https://discord.gg/YeBWqc7xK
Irish Independent Wrestling
01:21:48|Brian Maxwell joins Shaz in the Gorilla Room for a conversation about something both lads care deeply about — Irish professional wrestling. From packed community halls to breakout stars making names for themselves internationally, the episode looks at what makes the Irish wrestling scene unique and why it continues to produce standout talent.Along the way, the lads discuss wrestlers that casual fans may never have heard of, who stands out in today’s scene, and what separates certain performers from the rest.Whether you already follow the scene or are completely new to it, this is a good place to start. Can Ireland Host WrestleMania? Councillor Maurice Shortall Responds
18:09|A slightly different podcast this week. With Morro laid up in hospital and the other lads away galavanting, Shane sits down with Kilkenny councillor Maurice Shortall to discuss his call for the Irish government to explore the possibility of bringing WrestleMania to Ireland. The discussion looks at why Maurice believes a WrestleMania event could be a major opportunity for Irish tourism and the wider economy, and whether Ireland could realistically position itself to host one of the biggest events in entertainment. The original story, broken by Shane for KCLR, was picked up internationally by outlets including Sports Illustrated and much of the wrestling media, although often without credit to the original reporting.Shane also puts forward questions submitted by listeners through the Wrestling Fan Wrestling Show Discord, including the obvious one: could WrestleMania genuinely happen in Ireland?Side note: the recording was repeatedly interrupted by internet issues, so the audio quality is rough in places, but hopefully the conversation is still worth hearing.
