Ep.27 “An Hour Before We Served Him Papers, He Served Us Papers” Nearly Losing It All With Entrepreneur Hannah Bronfman

Ep. 27

Hannah Bronfman is an entrepreneur, angel investor, DJ, activist and author. She is among New York's most renowned health and well-being professionals, responsible for building the popular online portal HBFIT. Before this, Hannah built a reputation as a celebrity and influencer through her work as a set DJ, playing at events for high-profile brands including Gucci. Hannah’s first book “Do What Feels Good” was published in January 2019.

Having spent most of her career balancing multiple streams of work, Hannah is no stranger to the hectic New Yorker lifestyle. As a DJ, Hannah's early twenties were particularly manic, the late nights and junk food leading to eventual burnout. As a result, Hannah pivoted and took measures to prioritise her health, documenting her recipes and workouts on Instagram along the way. Now, with fans located globally, HBFIT stands as a bible to anyone looking to put their well-being first, whether this is adding to your unique skincare routine or gaining access to productivity and business advice.

Over the years, Hannah has established herself as an angel investor across multiple industries. Her investment ethos and strategic involvement is to help minority founders who make ‘better for you’ and ‘better for the planet’ products and platforms. Alongside this, Hannah talks about entering motherhood, after sharing her incredible journey with IVF online. Hannah is also a vocal advocate for social and racial justice and is dedicated to using her platform to increase her followers’ awareness of Black History and the challenges the world faces when it comes to diversity and racism.

  • 76. Ep. 76 Why You’re Struggling With Motivation And How To Fix It With John Amaechi OBE

    01:11:44
It is an understatement to say that John Amaechi has had a career that has taken him places. Not only is he an Organisational Psychologist, an OBE, a New York Times Bestselling Author, a Fellow of the Institute of Science and Technology, a Professor of Leadership, a non-executive director of an FTSE 250 company and the founder of organisational psychology consultancy APS. He was also, more surprisingly, the first Briton to play professional basketball in the NBA league, a move which saw him leave his hometown of Stockport for the world of professional basketball aged just 18. And whilst playing, he was the first NBA player to come out as gay. Never afraid to stand up and speak out, his book made me question a lot of things I thought I knew about myself and the way I live and work. Amaechi has spent years studying the world’s highest performers, in both the sporting and corporate world, and I’m so looking forward to everyone hearing his amazing techniques. I learnt so much in this chat and I’m sure you will too. • 75. Ep. 75 Alice Liveing On The Dark Side Of Social Media, Influencing & Diet Culture

    01:04:59
Trigger warning: eating disordersI knew Alice Liveing's story was one full of twists and turns, but I did not expect to have such a frank conversation about the power we give 'social media stars' and the impact of toxic trends not just on viewers, but on the individuals perpetuating those trends. This episode is about Alice's journey to balance, but it's also about the warped reality of social media, and why we shouldn't be too harsh on ourselves about our past actions, something we all need a reminder of every so often. Can we really have it all? Laura Jackson is a founder, a TV presenter, a side hustler and a mother of three. So today's episode is all about balance, the 'working mother paradox', and finding joy in the chaos. Laura was also so open about her tough experience with ante-natal depression, I can't thank her enough for being so raw and honest. • 72. Ep. 72 Let's Talk About How To Be A Better Manager

    28:38
Today's episode of Working Hard, Hardly Working is one of our most highly requested solo episodes: it's all about how to be a better manager.Management truly is one of the most important skills to have in the workplace, but most of us are never taught how to do it.I find it so strange that it's one of those skills we're expected to just 'pick up' even though it's not a skill the majority of people specialise in when entering their careers, and it often doesn't come as second nature (it certainly didn't to me!). Plus, it's categorically the most important skill for career progression.I hope you find this episode helpful and enjoy listening!Download Revolut for free and get £20 when you use your card! www.revolut.com/graceCashback subject to availability.
