Jane is a Research, Policy, Advocacy and Legal Consultant, working in the area of criminal justice, penal policy, and social justice. In addition, she has
addressed the UN Committee against Torture on human rights issues in prison, the Justice Sub-Committee on Penal Reform on proposed bail reform, at the Fair Trials’ Expert Seminar on Pre-trial Detention in London and the Bail and Jail event at Harvard Law. Jane has also delivered several keynote addresses in Ireland and abroad.
A podcast host herself, Jane's award-winning production is called “Law and Justice”. There is a spin-off of this podcast, available on YouTube. Called “How to talk policy and influence people” Jane and her interviewees address the subjects of attachment; the harmful impact of childhood adversity; embodied trauma and structural inequity; and the importance of cultivating safety and relational health for individual and societal wellbeing.
