John L. Muuss: A Life of Photography and Service

He moved to St. James, North Carolina, in 2000, where he became known for his photography skills, serving as the towns photographic historian and editing photos for the St. James Cat-Tales magazine for 22 years. Muuss was also a charter member of American Legion Post five forty-three, serving as public relations officer and historian. His love for photography began in his teens and grew during his army service. He worked for the New York City Police Department and later directed public safety for the town of Islip on Long Island before retiring in North Carolina.
