Beyond the Baby Blues: Postpartum Psychosis Uncovered - Sarah's Story

Approximately 1 in 1000 women experience postpartum psychosis. It's a condition that remains largely hidden. rarely openly talked about and is veiled in silence and shame.

Joining host Jennie on this weeks episode is Sarah Berry-Valentine. She was that ONE out of 1000. Sarah bravely allows us in to her deeply personal experience with postpartum psychosis following the birth of her first child.

Sarah was recently featured in Glamour UK telling her story and has been candidly using her voice to raise awareness, offer hope and understanding, and advocate for better support for women. Her story is raw and powerful and SO needed in a world ( and a social media world filled with influencer mums) that often romanticise motherhood, whilst ignoring its most vulnerable moments.

  • You're Not Broken: How to Actually Heal Trauma with leading trauma recovery expert Robert Brennan

    01:11:42|
More and more people are beginning to look inward and acknowledge something that, for a long time, was ignored or pushed aside; their past. We’re seeing a real shift, where individuals are starting to recognise how unresolved trauma shows up in their present-day lives. Whether that’s through relationship struggles, patterns of self-sabotage, challenges with self-worth, or even the way we parent, there’s a growing awareness that our past experiences don’t just stay in the past...they shape who we are today. And that awareness is powerful. It’s an important first step. But here’s the thing- it’s only a portion of what’s actually required to change your circumstances. Because identifying the source of your trauma doesn’t automatically heal it.On this weeks episode, host Jennie is joined by Robert Brennan, on the the UK's leading mindset specialists and trauma recovery coaches. He works with people not just to understand their past, but how to HEAL it. Robert and Jennie explore what it really means to draw a line under trauma. They answer confounding questions that so many have like "How do you actually heal the wounds, not just identify them?" and "How do you move forward in a way that feels real, lasting and transformative? You can find Robert Brennan on:Website:Hypnotherapist Harley Street London | Robert Brennan | NLP & HaveningInstagram: @robertbrennanmindset You can find Jennie Guay on:Website:Jg Premier Divorce & Breakup Coaching & Advisory | Step Parenting | UKInstagram: @whywhisperpodcast and @jennieg_premierdivorcecoach
  • The Great Parenting Divide: When Parenting Differences End Friendships with Sarah Knight, Founder of FoundHerFire

    01:01:14|
Parenting doesn’t just shape our kids. It quietly reshapes our friendships too.Today’s episode is a real one. Host Jennie is joined by Sarah Knight, founder of FoundHerFire and host of the podcast It’s Got Pockets, and they get into the messy, often unspoken tension that can creep in when our parenting styles don’t align.Because let’s be honest, friendships can turn into… friendSHITS real quick when you and your friends have completely different views on discipline, screen time, independence, gender dynamics, or what’s “right” for your kids.Sarah and Jennie talk about how these differences don’t just impact our children; they can strain long-term friendships, create awkward school gate dynamics, and even spark quiet competition between parents who actually like each other. So how do we navigate it? Why does parenting bring out this competitive edge in so many of us? And is it possible to stay close to people whose parenting choices you fundamentally disagree with? This conversation is honest, nuanced, and probably going to hit close to home. You can find Sarah Knight here:Website: FOUNDHER FIRE — Sarah KnightInstagram: @foundherfireYou can find Jennie Guay here:Website: Jg Premier Divorce & Breakup Coaching & Advisory | Step Parenting | UKInstagram: @whywhisperpodcast and @jennieg_premierdivorcecoach Book: Howie Blend: Playdate Adventures with Family and Friends: Amazon.co.uk: Guay, Jennie: 9781919623108: Books

Dr. Newson has been instrumental in transforming how we talk about, and treat, perimenopause and menopause. In the UK, there are around 13 million women currently going through perimenopause or menopause. That’s roughly a third of the female population, yet countless women are still struggling to get the support, care, and facts they deserve. In this episode, we dig into what perimenopause actually feels like, how symptoms like anxiety, brain fog, joint pain, and sleep disturbances are often misdiagnosed or dismissed, and why hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can be life-changing.We also tackle one of the biggest myths out there: the supposed link between HRT and cancer. Yet, fear and misinformation still hold too many women back. This episode is a must-listen for anyone navigating midlife, going through or approaching perimenopause, supporting someone who is, or simply wanting to understand why women deserve better information, better care, and better conversations around menopause.Let’s stop allowing misinformation and fear mongering stop us from getting the right information, learning about what our options and RIGHTS are and getting the medical/health care we deserve!
