  • How much of a role does drinking alcohol play in making progress?

    17:57|
Alcohol is an anchor point in our social lives wether we want to admit it or not. When you haven't seen someone in a while, you'll ask to grab a drink for a quick catch up. When we gather with friends, drinks make things a little more fun. At the end of the day when you're beat, that drink helps you release all that stress. BUT is it playing a more negative role than we even realize? Is it so engrained into our lives that we don't notice the negative effects? In today's episode, I talk about the role alcohol could be playing in your health journey to help you make better decisions for yourself and your fitness goals.
  • WTF is a Reverse Diet?

    18:08|
Do you actually need one? How do you know you need one? How do you start one? When do you stop? Today's episode talks all about what a reverse diet is, why you need one, and how to approach it based on your body and needs. This is a crucial step being missed post weight loss or fat loss is the past of the reason why so many people see weight re-gain and wonder why it all went wrong. It seems like up until recently it was barely talked about, and it is still kept on the hush hush by major weight loss companies. Why? because repeat customers are their main source of income and if you actually figure out how to sustain your goal, well, they'd be shit out of luck. • Should Doctors be giving fat loss advice?

    19:23|
Today we're uncovering the b.s. around advice we get from doctors. If you've ever received nutrition, exercise, or weight management advice from your doctor this is a must listen. Disclaimer: I am not bashing doctors. It truly takes someone special to go into the field and there are some really great ones out there. I do however think many medical practices and advice needs to change and believe that the patients advocating for themselves are the first step to that actually happening.Follow me on Insta to ask questions and learn more: @whogivesafitBe sure to share this podcast with anyone you think it might benefit!

In today's episode I talk about being in a fat loss phase over the holidays and how to still make progress. These skills also translate to maintaining over the holidays and not coming out of the next few weeks with more regret and tighter pants. I am currently in a fat loss phase going into the holidays and while this may be a stressful situation for some, I am feeling relaxed and prepared. We don't have to go into the holidays preparing extra HIIT workouts and cardio to burn off the calories or leaving meals with feelings of regret. I'm giving you a full breakdown of how I'm going to make sure I don't lose any progress while still enjoying time (and food) with family and friends.
