What's Yer Deal?
Novelist and my former bandmate Faith Gardner
Season 1, Ep. 3
•
Faith Gardner is a writer / novelist best known for her YA novels, but in this episode we discuss the downsides of getting pigeon-holed as a certain type of writer, among many other aspects of her writing career. She was also my bandmate in Oakland's Hooray For Everything, and we get into talk of that band, as well as her current musical project, Plot 66. As in previous episodes, there's also lots of talk of mental health and individual creative processes.
Intro music by The Burrow (that's me!),
and episode features songs by Faith's bands:
Plot 66 (Living Ghost)
Hooray For Everything (Solipsist)
and her solo project Scarlet O'Hara (How Now)
