This 90s American classic set in a 1960s small town is a feel good film that basically is A Christmas Story but for the summer. Between 4th of July, town carnivals, baseball, and toxic dads.... what could be more American? Is this movie feel good enough to hit a home run or will it sink in the deep end of the pool before ever getting to assault a teenager?
