Wait, You Haven't Seen...?

This week Nizzbit returns and he's brought another World War II film. 2021's Operation Mincemeat, starring Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Macdonald and Jason Isaacs. It's directed by John Madden (no, not that one) and tells the story of the eponymous mission to trick the Axis powers in the war in to believing the Allies were going to invade Greece, and not Sicily. The real story is actually even stranger than the movie let's on. But, is this a worthy story to tell? Or, should they have left it to the annals of history? Jack Terry (Travolta) is a sound guy for low budget horror movies, and when he is out one night collection sounds to use, he witnesses a car veer off the road and in to a river. After rescuing Sally (Allen) from the water, he realizes his microphone picked up another sound just before the tire blew out. So is this a bit of a hidden gem, or should this one be skipped in the Brian De Palma list? Tom Hanks stars along with Paul Newman, Daniel Craig, and Tyler Hoechlin in one of his earliest roles. So, is this one of the best adaptations of a comic/graphic novel out there?
