In my life I've had many different experiences, and I had an interesting encounter twice in a matter of three days an individual who triggered some very pleasant memories from my childhood. I have mentioned to different organisations in this podcast, though I have not received any compensation for doing so.

This is a story probably not uncommon with many children of immigrants to Canada. I was fortunate enough to share my experience many years ago about the preservation of one's language with individuals who listened UR-3 in Ukraine.

Encounters, Experiences and People

Over fourteen years ago i proposed to a friend of mine who produced a Ukrainian radio show to create a segment called Kultural Capsule. I did so for over 18 months. I had been a volunteer stringer for the Ukraine community radio program Ukrainian Time for five years I have now returned to producing this segment called the very same thing. I love producing audio and sharing information, i'm a librarian by training so helping others comes naturally. This show is comprised of people I've met, expediences I've had and told as a story. While in high school I swam competitively with a private swim club, travelling to competitions I may have experienced a little more than many of my peers. In one of my high school year books a friend wrote: "Tell us another story uncle Bill." None of these are fiction. I lived through these and at times they taught me lessons, provided me with joy, and allowed me to visit different places because of a sport I loved.
