On this award-winning show, we look at 2 Corinthians 3:6 “He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” The Mosaic law breeds guilt and prescribes punishments for violating the law, including issuing death sentences to offenders. The gospels are from God. They have the power of God in them. Believers and followers of the gospel receive God’s word in their hearts. These Christians are saved and will have everlasting life with Jesus in heaven.

On this award-winning show, we look at Luke 2:14, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” The shepherds were given the profound privilege of being among the first to hear the good news of great joy about the Savior of the world. When the multitude of the heavenly hosts sang, “Glory to God in the highest heaven," they powerfully communicated the end for which God created the world. “The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.”

On this award-winning show, we look at Ecclesiastes 11:5 “As you do not know the path of the wind or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.” Scientists know things about what causes wind, and they know even more about how a fetus is formed in the womb; they still don’t know all of it, and they especially don’t know the mystery of origin. This is the work of God, who ordains all our knowledge of the intricate details of how things work.

On this award-winning show, we look at Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” In the world’s economy, men dominate other men (and women). There are leaders, and there are followers. There are gurus and spiritual directors who are oppressive. But in God’s economy, the Kingdom of God, there are equals, and even where one is in a position of authority, it is an authority of servanthood. The only good relationships are those where the truth-telling and good example of the other sharpen both parties.

On this award-winning show, we look at Proverbs 31:8–9. “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” God intends for people in power to be a voice for the voiceless. It takes having the heart of God and the Spirit of God to know how to “defend the rights of the poor and needy. There are those who claim to defend the poor and play on emotionalism to get money from those with guilty consciences. Problems are invented to justify social programs, while often the true issues go unanswered and ignored because they require true wisdom and true sacrifice.

On this award-winning show, we look at Ecclesiastes 10:2 “The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.” Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” Read the Bible to know what wisdom is, and obey the Bible to be wise.

On this award-winning show, we look at Proverbs 31:30 “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” The godly woman described in Proverbs 31 has one main defining trait from which all the others spring forth. “She fears the Lord.” She is a Christian and has surrendered her life to Christ.

Seek the Kingdom of God and his righteousness (Mt 6:25–34); don’t worry for tomorrow; live in his presence right now; and watch him unfold his perfect plan before you.
