She started as a nurse in British Columbia’s healthcare system but took an unexpected turn that led her to where she is now—a healthcare strategy leader at Vancouver Coastal Health. She’s also a recent graduate, a mother of three, and a proud puppy mom!
Jackie opened up about her dramatic experience with COVID-19. She was one of the first confirmed cases in Vancouver and faced a life-threatening battle that saw her on a ventilator for ten days. This intense period of her life forced her to pause and reflect deeply. Despite the challenges, Jackie emerged stronger, using her experience to contribute to healthcare research and strategy. Steph and Jackie also dive into how this journey has reshaped her outlook on life, her hopes for the future of healthcare, personal growth and intentional living. the joy Jackie finds in solitude and the importance of pausing and reflecting on life’s journey and so much more goodness.
