UK True Crime Podcast

Today’s story takes us to Plymouth, where we look at the tragic story of Callum Hill and the events surrounding his death. At the heart of the story is a personal dispute between two men and the seemingly futile idea that problems can be settled by arranging a fight. What begins as an argument driven by pride, ego and a refusal to back down ultimately has consequences far beyond the people involved in the original grievance. It is also a story about friendship, trust and how easily someone can become caught up in a situation that was never theirs to begin with.I release new episodes of the UK True Crime Podcast every Tuesday and Friday, so please do join me for the next story on Friday.Find out more about me, Adam Lloyd, & UK True Crimehttps://uktruecrime.comSupport me at Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/UKTrueCrimeBuy Me a Coffeehttps://buymeacoffee.com/uktruecrimepodcastWatch my YouTube Channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime

True Crime Catch Up is back!I'm delighted to say that True Crime Catch Up is back with a brand-new episode, as I sit down with Stuart Blues, host of the British Murders podcast, for episode one of our new monthly series. If you haven't listened before, it's a chance for the two of us to get together and chat about different aspects of true crime, from individual cases to our own experiences of researching and presenting them.In this episode, we each talk about three cases we've covered on our podcasts that have stayed with us for a number of reasons. Some have affected us more than others, and we reflect on why these particular stories have remained in our minds long after recording them. It's a slightly different format from our usual podcasts, with a more relaxed conversation, a few personal reflections and, inevitably, a few laughs along the way. We're now releasing True Crime Catch Up on the first Saturday of every month, and I'm really looking forward to getting together with Stuart regularly to explore more true crime stories and topics.I release new episodes of the UK True Crime Podcast every Tuesday and Friday, so please do join me for the next story on Tuesday.Find out more about me, Adam Lloyd, & UK True Crimehttps://uktruecrime.comSupport me at Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/UKTrueCrimeBuy Me a Coffeehttps://buymeacoffee.com/uktruecrimepodcastWatch my YouTube Channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime

Carol Jarvis was a woman whose life was shaped by her family and, later, by a degenerative illness which left her increasingly dependent on others. As her health deteriorated, her husband took on the role of her carer, looking after her at home as she became less able to care for herself. But behind the closed doors of the family home, things were not quite as they appeared.Carol’s children began to notice differences in their mum's condition, particularly when comparing the times she was cared for by her husband with those when they looked after her themselves. Small inconsistencies began to raise questions, but confronting their Dad was far from easy. When another woman entered the picture, the situation became even more complicated. What followed would expose a disturbing relationship, a bizarre living arrangement and a series of events which would eventually lead police to a devastating discovery inside the family home. This is the story of Carol Jarvis, the questions raised by those closest to her, and the shocking truth that eventually emerged.I release new episodes of the UK True Crime Podcast every Tuesday and Friday, so please do join me for the next story on Friday.Writing Credit: Chris WoodYou can buy Chris's second book, 'Death in the Theatre' here: https://www.amazon.com/Death-Theatre-Chris-Wood/dp/1399009117Find out more about me, Adam Lloyd, & UK True Crimehttps://uktruecrime.comSupport me at Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/UKTrueCrimeBuy Me a Coffeehttps://buymeacoffee.com/uktruecrimepodcastWatch my YouTube Channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime

Note: This epiosde was originally released in February 2022.High Wycombe isn't somewhere you would necessarily associate with violent crime, but in this case an apparently ordinary churchyard became the setting for a brutal and completely unnecessary murder.Lee Gillespie found himself caught up in a complicated situation involving jealousy, relationships and misplaced loyalty. What began as tension between people who knew each other would eventually escalate into violence, leaving Lee dead and several people facing the consequences of what happened. This is a story about relationships that had become increasingly complicated, decisions that had devastating consequences and a confrontation that ended in a tragic death.I release new episodes of the UK True Crime podcast every Tuesday and Friday, so please do join me on Tuesday for the next episode.Find out more about me, Adam Lloyd, & UK True Crimehttps://uktruecrime.comSupport me at Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/UKTrueCrimeBuy Me a Coffeehttps://buymeacoffee.com/uktruecrimepodcastWatch my YouTube Channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosJoin UK True Crime Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime
