Look Back at 2023 & Forward to 2024

On this week's episode the two Pauls are joined by former rugby player Dev Toner. Dev talks about his retirement from rugby,&nbsp;seriously pivoting his career to qualifying&nbsp;as a financial&nbsp;advisor and now working with Paul Merriman as Head of Partnerships. He also talked about how he came to the decision not to pursue a coaching role and to leave the game altogether. Dev shares the sort of person he was in school, how his finally leaving rugby came about and how ready he was to finish up by then and being excited by the next chapter. He and Paul talk about the importance of structure when building a business and the impact Dev has had on his business. The finance of tax

On this week's episode the two Pauls are joined by budgeting expert, Caz Mooney. Caz shares her journey&nbsp;from a busy mum to a budgeting expert with 160k Instagram followers- she talks about losing her job, becoming a stay at home mum and living with a long term struggle with finances. Suddenly having two incomes and that typical ‘lifestyle creep’ led Caz and her husband to overspending and landed them with a very large credit card debt, she talks about how they then they decided to embark on a 'low spend year' for 2019. She chats about getting the kids on board by promising it was only a year and they would make it fun! Caz shares how that went and how her family successfully cleared debt and also chats with the lads about the importance&nbsp;of budgeting, short, medium and long term goal setting and giving saving time and patience. The Episode with Budgeting expert Caz Mooney

The Finance of Wills 

This week's episode the&nbsp;two Pauls are joined by performance and health coach Gerry Hussey to discuss&nbsp;how people can deal with redundancy. Gerry shares his own personal story and how he got to do the work he does today and Paul M shares the story of how the two of them met. Gerry covers how people can deal with the unexpected news of redundancy&nbsp;and how it can sometimes be a positive or a reset - he also reminds us that depending on an individual's family&nbsp;dynamics, age and where they are in life, how redundancy impacts them can be totally&nbsp;different&nbsp;and is often not easy. Gerry also shares the importance and inevitability&nbsp;of acceptance of a redundancy&nbsp;situation and how you can work on your mindset to&nbsp;move on,&nbsp;reminding us of how short life can be. There is also some chat around cold showers; with views varying between the benefits and sheer dislike, which leads Gerry into talking about what is easy in life and what is special!
