The pair discuss news of Prince Harry’s intention not to speak publicly about private family matters in a bid to regain the King’s trust, and reports that Meghan has been offered an acting role in the UK. 31:33|

  • Burnham’s broken Britain: PM’s socialist dream quickly turning into a nightmare

    35:42|
On the day that hundreds of prisoners are released early and the UK’s “one in, one out” migrant deal with France ends, The Daily T examines the state of the nation under Andy Burnham.Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley discuss the paradox of a Prime Minister who wants more devolution while pushing for a referendum on rejoining the EU and following the rules set by Brussels.Tim suggests Mr Burnham’s push for proportional representation could be to the detriment of the Labour Party, saying it is more important to him to have a permanent coalition centre-Left establishment in Britain than it is for Labour to win majorities.Camilla and Tim also note the shift in Labour’s policy regarding Israel and Palestine marked by the absence of Ed Miliband, the Foreign Secretary, from the Labour Friends of Israel event and the lack of comment from the Prime Minister so far on the Flydubai hijacking attempt.► Subscribe to our new Daily T YouTube channel: youtube.com/@dailytpodcast► Get more exclusive Daily T content from The Daily T+ membership!
