⚪️💙 Three points at Edgeley Park, but County certainly didn't make life easy for themselves! After three consecutive away games, County returned to SK3 to face AFC Wimbledon – THE REAL DONS – and came away with a hard-fought 2–1 victory. But once again, the story started with County failing to make the most of their chances. Opportunities came and went, and when Wimbledon struck early in the second half to take the lead, it looked like we might be left regretting those missed chances. Then came a tactical tweak from Jim McNulty. With Ennis and Diamond switching positions, County suddenly started to look a much bigger attacking threat – and the game began to turn in our favour! Was that the key moment that changed everything? Jimmy, Dan, Rediy and Rolo are back on Sunday night to dissect another eventful afternoon at Edgeley Park.

    🎙️ Welcome back to the award-winning The Scarf Bergara Wore – the original Stockport County fan podcast! 🔵⚪️Waggie is in the hot seat this week, joined by Jimmy from the Reaction Pod, with fan debutant Martin making an appearance — although we didn’t actually know he was making his debut until the end!We provided updates throughout the pod of County Academy’s FA Youth Cup tie against Rotherham (we won 4-1 sorry for the spoiler). We turn our attention to the first team and the defeat at Oxford. How did we think the game went? After that early scare inside the first 20 seconds, did County adapt well, and where were we lacking? We discuss the bold half-time decision to take Norwood and Osbourne off for Fiorini and Ennis, whether the changes improved us in the second half and if we did enough to deserve a point. ? Are we concerned about the lack of goals in last few games and shots on target?We have a quick look at the season so far. Are we happy with our current league position and performances? Have our expectations changed as the season has progressed, and can we sustain this run? Or is it time to bolster the squad and add a bit more depth for the challenges ahead?We also briefly touch on the 1-1 draw away at Notts County, although we won’t go into too much detail as the Reaction Pod has already covered it in depth. Did we feel that was another two points dropped, or were we looking at it as another Blackpool-type game? One thing we can’t ignore is just how impressive County’s away stats in that game were!Cray Wanderers have sold out their tickets in record time, and County have been allocated 450 tickets, with the first points-based tier of 1,200-plus able to buy from Thursday at 10am.
