  • 2. Putting things in perspective

    06:24||Season 1, Ep. 2
    There is always a lot of political talk on the TV, but none more so than when coming up to an Election, as the parties jostle for position. In the Northern Highlands of Scotland, things have not changed much for years. It has mainly been a Liberal Democrat seat, with the SNP in power since the last referendum. I am afraid I might have had something to do with that. However, Northern Ireland is the order of the day, and the unfolding situation there. This programme does not aim to dictate, but to try to give a low key balanced view, and of course, finances will most definitely come into it. Both places are propped up with public money, but at least Scotland does its best. Not so Northern Ireland I am afraid.

  • 4. Episode 5 - a bit of a mix

    03:57||Season 1, Ep. 4
    We had a bit of background over the last few weeks, including an episode from the Inkslingers which was rather fun! We don't want to repeat what is on the news... just a gentle look at the big picture.
  • 6. Scottish elections

    02:46||Season 1, Ep. 6
    This journalist examines the political arena in Scotland, with particular emphasis on energy. A petition for the energy strategy was launched in May 2025, and heard by the Cabinet Secretary for Energy in February 2026. It was clear that many aspects were not understood and on other questions, she simply refused to answer.
  • 7. Scottish elections revisited

    02:24||Season 1, Ep. 7
    We looked at economics in the last podcast, which aligned with the book, The Systematic Destruction of Scotland, and the lack of understanding of basic economic facts. Now, about the forthcoming elections. Which party has the best grasp of economics, and energy? Is it the SNP and the matter of them continually demanding independence when we have already seen their disasters with the ferry companies and other projects? That is not to say that there have not been disasters in England and Wales as well. Consider the H2 project.
