Welcome to Throwing Glitter …the podcast that gets to the heart of what it means to be a mum - the shit and the sparkle! We’re a group of mums in North London. We’re different ages. We come from different backgrounds. And we want to share our stories with you.We bring all that we are to motherhood,pieces of what we were, what we are and what we will be.I pass it down to you, like it was passed to me,like it was passed from hers before.All the little threads from those we love,woven between us all.Around 140 million babies are born every year in the world. That’s more than four births every second of every day. And right now we know too many women around the world are giving birth and raising children in conflict zones, facing unimaginable danger. Many give birth without access to clean water, healthcare, food or safe and secure housing. Here in the UK, a baby is born every 54 seconds, and in our patch of north London around 2,400 babies were born last year alone.
