Episode 110: Taylor Byrne
Today I am joined on the podcast by Taylor Byrne, a multi-instrumental singer/songwriter, and frontman of the Franco-Irish ensemble, The Celtic Social Club.
Primarily in this episode we'll be chatting about Taylor's latest release, 'Someone Had to Stay', which was released in May of this year. Produced by Matt Winston, the five-track EP explores the theme of emigration from the perspective of those who remain. From the sombre ‘Someone Had to Stay’, the jaunty ‘22 & Feelin’ Sorta Aimless’, and the cathartic ‘London’, the EP showcases Byrne’s diverse musical capabilities and ability to weave cohesion through chaos.
On top of this, we'll be chatting about his upcoming singles 'Bedroom Plan' and 'Me and Marie', the amazing story of how he joined The Social Celtic Club and being with the band, amongst many other stories like the Arkham Games and the scramble for Oasis tickets.
