Horror has a complicated relationship with humanity. It is simultaneously a mirror to our thoughts and fears, as well as a genre that can sometimes be shunned and ostracized. Yet one thing is for sure, horror changes as we do. In the 90's it was the slasher craze, in the 00s it was gore p***, in the 2010's it was religious horror.
