The One About Staying Out Of The ER with Dr. Shazma Mithani

Ep. 223

Dr. Shazma Mithani is an ER doctor from Edmonton, Alberta and she works with both adult and pediatric patients. Her mission is simply to empower each of us to stay healthy, and out of the ER. Dr. Shazma shares the common reasons she sees families in the ER, and what she personally avoids because of it. She posts on social media little bits of medical literacy to help us understand what to expect from an ER visit, how to prevent illness, what you can do from home and when you should see a doctor. This episode is meant to remove shame from the unknowns in parenthood for everything from injury to the constant evolving of rules/advice out there.
