The Lizzy Hoo Show
‘I got in a car with three strangers late at night’ with Kumi Taguchi
•
Lizzy is joined by Australian journalist Kumi Taguchi who has lived through and reported live on some of the world's most historic news stories. Through her work as a journalist, Kumi knows more than most how dangerous the world can be, which makes it even crazier that against her better judgment, she once found herself getting into a car late at night with three men she had never met.
Guest:
Kumi Taguchi (@kumikotag) Host of SBS Insight, Dateline reporter, journalist and author.
Catch Kumi on SBS Insight - Australia's favourite show for nuanced discussions around taboo topics, Insight, returns to SBS on Tuesday 3 March at 8:30pm. Or stream any time on SBS On Demand.

I was thrown into a Venezuelan jail cell | with Ivan Aristeguieta
47:20|Lizzy is joined by comedian Ivan Aristeguieta for a very hungry chat about food, family and his love of Japan. Ivan talks about getting married in Japan, a honeymoon built around sumo wrestling and a Japanese convenience store snack hack: an egg sandwich with fried chicken inside. He explains why Spanish and Venezuelan households are so dramatic, and how cooking became the one thing his family could agree on. Ivan then gets into his “shituation”: an alcohol fuelled beach concert that ends with a night spent half naked in a Venezuelan police station.Guest:Ivan AristeguietaInsta @ivancomedyTickets and tour dates at ivancomedy.com.au**The Lizzy Hoo Show is where comedian and writer Lizzy Hoo chats life, love, mishaps and the everyday messiness that makes us all human. 44:24|Marnie Vinall is one of the coolest people in media, working her way into the male dominated field of sports journalism. Then Marnie shares her disastrous first AFL assignment where she was so focused on her work that she didn't notice everyone leave, and she ended up locked inside Marvel Stadium, crying in a stairwell and contemplating an overnight sleepover in the freezing stadium basement.Guest:Marnie VinallInsta @marnie.vinall**The Lizzy Hoo Show is where comedian and writer Lizzy Hoo chats life, love, mishaps and the everyday messiness that makes us all human.
